Jiang Fan led the Heavenly Divination Palace to victory in the competition, defeated an evil cultivator, and advanced to the Dao Realm. After joining Wei Lang’s investigation, he set out with a team to attack the Blood Fiend Alliance’s stronghold at Black Wind Valley.

• Jiang Fan killed a Three-Eyed Giant Beast, gathered Qi Luck Orbs, and advanced to the true-realm apex with seven Great Daos.
• Jiang Fan rushed to Phoenix Ridge and protected Lin Yang and the trapped Heavenly Divination Palace disciples, defeating challengers and collecting their Qi Luck Orbs.
• Jiang Fan defeated Zhu Jiuyang and Ling Wuchen, then confronted a gray-robed evil cultivator who had unleashed the Black Demon Array.
• Jiang Fan destroyed the array, removed the demon seeds from the infected disciples, and killed the evil cultivator.

Jiang Fan destroyed a Blood Fiend Alliance altar, gained new Great Dao fragments, and joined the Demon-Cleansing Bureau’s campaign against the Alliance’s branch altars. After officials challenged his authority, he proved his worth by breaking formations at Eastern Lan Marsh and Luoyan Mountain.

• Jiang Fan helped Wei Lang and the prefectural cultivators defeat the Gray-Robed Elder’s formation, then used fourteen Great Daos to sever the elder’s link to the yin grotto and collapse the Grand Formation.
• Jiang Fan learned that the Gray-Robed Elder knew little about the Blood Fiend Alliance’s leadership, killed him, and later integrated four Great Daos given by Wei Lang and Tan Shaoyuan.
• The imperial court named Jiang Fan the operation’s foremost contributor, awarded him ten Great Dao Fragments, and appointed him Special Envoy of the newly established Demon-Cleansing Bureau.
• Jiang Fan studied the Dao-Nurturing Chapter in the capital’s Daoist Canon Pavilion, learned to nurture Dao Seeds from fragments, and planted ten threads of Great Dao light in his Dao Foundation.
• Jiang Fan met He Xiyan and clashed with Qin Shaoyang, then reported to Grand Commander Lu Xuanling and learned that the Bureau had delayed its campaign over political disputes.
• At the Bureau’s assembly, Lu Xuanling assigned forces to attack three branch altars, while Cui Shaoying and other young officials challenged Jiang Fan’s authority and Jiang Fan invited them to prove themselves in battle.
• When Li Chengfeng’s force became trapped at Eastern Lan Marsh, Jiang Fan seized control of the Blood Fiend Grand Formation, turned it against the evil cultivators, and helped Li Chengfeng’s troops destroy the altar.
• Jiang Fan left Eastern Lan Marsh after learning Chen Cong’s force was in danger at Luoyan Mountain, arrived as the soldiers retreated, and broke the formation there.
