Zhao Shiming activated a glass tank and announced that it contained a god, whose tentacle stopped the team’s attacks and made everyone’s eyes bleed.

The joint team returned to the laboratory to rescue Xia Chong, but found themselves trapped as Zhao Shiming’s monster adapted to its power and advanced on them. With Xia Chong unable to open another door, Gecko called for help, and a mysterious figure crashed through the ceiling and landed on the monster.

Dr. An proposed cooperation to locate Wang and called Xia Chong in to show Lu Xin the work the Institute wanted his help with.

• Dr. An explained that the Research Institute considered Lu Xin a precariously balanced, multi-element individual and warned that probing him could cause an accident.
