• Lu Xin and Wang Song tracked down and destroyed the Death Field’s stabilizers, discovering that its machinery extracted fluid from Happy Town’s people to make a drug.
• The Death Field’s operatives attacked Lu Xin with the Flowers of Death and the old man’s pain-inflicting ability, but Lu Xin endured their assaults until Kid, Gecko, and the others arrived to help.
• Lu Xin defeated the old man and red-haired woman, and Chen Jing’s team destroyed the remaining stabilizers, ending the domain.
• Chen Jing identified the Technological Church’s Gospel Plan and led the group toward Happy Town, where armed forces gathered and fought under the influence of a hidden Pollution Source.
• Troublemaker Kid reported that the leaders believed Happy Town held a treasure, and Chen Jing concluded that an ability user had implanted the delusion in them.
• Lu Xin proposed using Kid to counter the mass contamination, and Chen Jing approved the plan despite her concerns about the danger.
• Lu Xin drove Kid into view of the armed crowd, and the soldiers dropped their weapons, wept, and apologized before becoming infatuated and chasing after them.

Lu Xin and Kid uncovered the Technological Church’s plans in Happy Town and fought to free the Queen from the Archbishop of Calamity. Kid released her pent-up psychic power toward the west, leaving Qinggang to stop the resulting mental turbulence.

• Lu Xin let Kid’s influence draw armed pursuers into the wilderness, where their greed and distress summoned abyssal Mental Monsters that he and Kid destroyed.
• Chen Jing’s team captured the Wish Priest and recovered his silver briefcase, then Lu Xin and Kid entered Happy Town with the team’s help and investigated the Museum of Calamities.
• Lu Xin tore through the museum’s false world and confronted Qin Ran, while Kid’s power destroyed the museum and Qin Ran transformed into a Flesh Monster Tree that fed on people’s suffering.
• Lu Xin and Kid advanced through the collapsing illusion and found the Queen trapped beneath the Archbishop of Calamity, whose mental force threatened to overwhelm Kid.
• Chen Jing relayed Qinggang’s warning that the Technological Church intended to use Kid’s power to control abyssal monsters, and Professor Bai warned that releasing it could endanger the region.
• Lu Xin helped Kid release her psychic power toward the west, sending a vast mental wave across the wasteland as Chen Jing, Gecko, and Troublemaker Kid fled ahead of it.
• Minister Shen’s troops detonated plasma bombs beneath a lime-powder line, forming an electric net that stopped the mental turbulence.

Lu Xin destroyed the Museum of Calamities and helped free Queen, then returned to ordinary life in Qinggang before investigating Gao Yan’s contamination. He uncovered a second contaminating presence in the girl Gao Yan had abused, and Mom recognized her as her sister, who may have come to witness approaching extraordinary events.

• Minister Shen ordered Qinggang’s overclocked ion cannons to fire, helping clear the turbulence and destroy the giant clown-like Mental Monster.
• Lu Xin entered the Museum of Calamities by copying a sleepwalking collectible’s trait, rejected its offer to erase his painful memories, and stirred the trapped souls into grief that disrupted its ritual.
• Lu Xin destroyed the Museum’s crosses and the Archbishop of Calamity, freeing Queen and releasing the people and objects trapped inside the museum.
• Lu Xin returned to Qinggang, reunited with his family, and went back to his job, where Vice President Xiao asked him to investigate Gao Yan.
• Lu Xin found Gao Yan contaminated, restrained him, and followed Vice President Xiao to Gao Yan’s villa, where he discovered a hidden basement and signs that a girl had been held there.
• The girl emerged from the villa and contaminated the people around her by provoking their sympathy, turning the armed police and Vice President Xiao against Lu Xin.
• Mom revealed that the girl was her sister, and Sister restrained her while Mom stopped the contamination by snipping at her eyes.
• Mom told Lu Xin that the girl’s insects were traces of her sister’s presence and suggested she had come to Qinggang to watch the extraordinary events she sensed approaching.

Lu Xin learned of Qinggang’s Heavenly Kingdom Plan, helped Kid choose to protect the city, and guarded her first major experiment against the Sea Nation’s curse. The Doll expelled the curse into a gigantic mermaid and faced it as a dangerous presence approached from the coastline.

• Lu Xin learned that Qinggang planned to create a Mental Lord, and he supported Kid joining the Heavenly Kingdom Plan while insisting she remain free to leave.
• Lu Xin and Kid delivered fallen soldiers’ final messages to their families, and he told her Qinggang needed people who loved the lives they had built there.
• Han Bing assigned Lu Xin to protect the Heavenly Kingdom Plan’s first experiment, which would use Kid’s power to confront the Sea Nation’s Mermaid’s Curse.
• Lu Xin heard the curse’s alluring song aboard the Sea Nation’s ship, but Mom silenced it, and Professor Bai explained how the pollution had distorted the men’s desires and instincts.
• Kid opened her mental field over the Sea Nation, drawing mermaids out of the men and expanding the field with help from Qinggang’s signal towers.

• As the Doll fought the mermaid, Lu Xin, Mom, Father, and Sister sensed an extremely dangerous presence approaching from the coastline.
