Yang Yuncong serves as the Military Commander of the Yu Unit’s Divine Department, where he oversees Dragon Guard personnel, assessment missions, appointments, and assignments. He is known for swordsmanship despite the Dragon Guard’s standard inheritance being the dual-saber Dream Slaying technique. 2

He is the eldest disciple of the Tianshan Sect and the senior brother of Ling Weifeng, the Qing Prefecture Division Commander. 25

Yang is connected to the Yang family through his daughter Yi Lanzhu and his uncle, Minister of War Yang Yuxuan. After Yang Yuxuan’s family was executed following an Eastern Depot frame-up, Yang Yuncong could not intervene openly due to his official position; he instead asked Qin Shuang to secretly protect the family’s surviving bloodline. 31 45

Formation of Qin Shuang’s Squad

Following Qin’s successful assessment, Yang provides institutional support for Qin’s first squad. He issues Qin’s appointment letter, provides rosters for four other squads, and assigns notable figures such as Shen Hu Chan, Wang Dong, and Li Sheng Nan. 13 14

Ni Pusa Mission and Promotion
