History
Creation and early development
Nuwa created the Human Race to answer the Primordial World’s need for a new race. She expended half of her vital blood, while Chen Tian supplied the remainder needed for creation; the resulting clay figures became living humans. Heaven bestowed immense Merit, seven-tenths of which went to Nuwa, while Chen Tian granted his remaining share to the newborn race. Nuwa then declared Chen Tian their ancestor and attained Sainthood 93.
The initial generation numbered 129,000. Their first major innovation was leaf clothing: a human woman devised a covering from fallen leaves, received Merit, and was named Ziyi Shi by Chen Tian. Her Leaf Garment became a Postnatal Merit Spiritual Treasure, and her cultivation rose to late-stage Taiyi Golden Immortal 94.
Chen Tian required the race to develop independently rather than become dependent on him. He decreed that humans should kneel only to Heaven, Earth, and their parents, and that they must be self-reliant and tenacious 94. He later provided the Nine Yang Nine Yin Divine Skill and martial arts techniques, allowing the early leaders’ cultivation to stabilize 110.
Suiren Shi discovered the method of drilling wood for fire after Chen Tian explained fire’s uses for cooking, light, and protection. The act earned heavenly Merit and elevated Suiren Shi to Taiyi Golden Immortal 95. Another early human later created houses after observing a bird’s nest, giving the race shelter from weather, illness, and demon beasts 95.
Survival against the Demon Race
During their early expansion, the Human Race was vulnerable to stronger beings. A delegation led by Suiren Shi, Youchao Shi, and Ziyi Shi was nearly devoured by demonic great beings while traveling to Chaos Heaven; Chen Tian intervened and warned that the race was not yet strong enough to leave the East Sea Coast safely 110 111.
The Demon Race later attempted to slaughter humans to forge the Witch-Slaying Sword. Chen Tian ordered the Three Ancestors to organize a defense, evacuate humans below Heavenly Immortal to the ancestral land, and protect them with a defensive formation 204. Human cultivators fought to cover the evacuation, and the surviving forces eventually drove the Demon Court’s army into retreat 204 209.
Expansion and the Saint Court
After the Witch-Demon Tribulation, the Human Race steadily occupied the central Primordial World. Chen Tian established the Human Race Saint Court on Mount Tai and assigned Daluo experts, including the Three Ancestors, to guard the ancestral land during major tribulations 242.
The Primordial World’s four-continent division designated the South Continent of Jambudvipa as the Human Race’s land. Human communities also expanded into East Victory Divine Continent and West Niu He Continent, while the Demon Race remained concentrated in North Kuru Continent 242.
Society and Governance
Human Emperors
The Human Race entered its imperial era when Fuxi ascended the throne with the Kongtong Seal, the race’s supreme treasure. His reign established ministers and regional oversight, introduced music, and created the Fuxi Calendar to track seasons and time 265.
- Fuxi — First Human Emperor; created the Eight Trigrams, founded Chen Capital, established music and the Fuxi Calendar, and constructed an immortal-mortal passage using the South Sea Jianmu tree 263 265.
- Shennong — Developed pottery, agriculture, calendars, the Five Grains, and the search for medicinal herbs; later passed the Kongtong Seal to Xuanyuan after proving his Dao 274 291.
- Xuanyuan — Unified the Human Race after the Battle of Zhuolu, reorganized land and government, expanded agriculture and military discipline, and received the Xuanyuan Sword 301 333.
- Di Xin — A Human Emperor whose status was protected by the Human Race’s elevated standing; he received potatoes and sweet potatoes capable of ending widespread famine 378.
- Ying Zheng — Reunified the Human Race and swore to protect it, increasing Human Race Destiny by thirty percent and earning entry into the Saint Court 384.
Records, writing, and culture
Before writing, the Human Race used stone-piling records, then knot-tying records made from dyed bark ropes. Symbolic carvings eventually replaced knots but remained difficult to transmit 302.
Hou Gangjie, later known as Cangjie, created characters under Duobao’s guidance. His achievement earned immense Merit, raised him from an uncultivated mortal to Daluo Golden Immortal, and secured his title as the Sage of Character Creation 302 303.
Cultivation world
The Human Race trains its children in martial arts to establish a foundation before immortal sects select suitable candidates. Humans who reach Heavenly Immortal or above ascend to a separate Human Race Cultivation World created by the Three Ancestors 363 365.
Cultivation and Traits
Innate Dao Body
The Human Race possesses the Innate Dao Body. First-generation innate humans had especially deep origins after receiving Chen Tian’s Merit, giving many of them the potential to reach Grand Unity 167 251.
- The earliest humans were substantially stronger than later acquired humans.
- Later generations reproduced rapidly but generally had weaker origins and fewer cultivation prodigies 111 251.
- Heavenly tribulations became a requirement for humans seeking breakthroughs to immortality, Golden Immortal, and Grand Unity after the Primordial World stabilized 265.
Martial and Immortal cultivation
Chen Tian’s Nine Yang Nine Yin Divine Skill and modified martial arts gave early humans a cultivation path, while later immortal sects continued selecting and training talented descendants 94 110 365.
- Martial cultivation can theoretically lead to Sainthood, but demands exceptional origin and talent 365.
- The Human Race’s first-generation Merit strengthened their foundations and made large-scale cultivation possible 94.
- The Human Race’s cultivation system coexists with its imperial and secular society rather than replacing it 363 365.

- Suiren Shi, Youchao Shi, and Ziyi Shi — The Three Old Ancestors and earliest leaders of the Human Race 110 263.
- Dragon Clan — Guardian sacred beasts of the Human Race; the alliance grants the Dragon Clan a share of Human Race Destiny while helping cleanse its karma 101.
- Demon Race — Historic enemy; the Demon Race slaughtered humans in an attempt to forge the Witch-Slaying Sword, creating lasting hostility between the races 204 251.
