Background / History

Chen Tian was a man from Earth who transmigrated into the Primordial World as a self-aware spiritual root. After binding the Myriad Worlds System, he selected the Slacker System and received the Hongmeng Scripture, which reconstructed his body into human form without the usual transformation process or heavenly tribulation. His new body was described as a Hongmeng-crafted human form, while an immortal grass remained within him 1.

The Three Pure Ones—Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian—each attempted to accept Chen Tian as a disciple. He became their shared disciple, gaining access to Kunlun Mountain and later using the Mother-Child System to task them with teaching him the Paths of Alchemy, Artifacts, and Arrays 3 34.

As his strength increased, Chen Tian accumulated systems, divine abilities, Dao comprehensions, treasures, disciples, and access to other worlds. He used the Myriad Heavens Chat Group to connect worlds to the Primordial World, while his later campaigns increasingly involved refining world origins and devouring enemies to advance his cultivation 50 179 304.

During his conflict with the Yin Aspect—his dark counterpart—Chen Tian learned that both aspects originated from the Primordial Supreme Dao. Chen Tian’s original form was a blade of grass-like spiritual root. The Hongmeng Scripture changed him into a human, though his nature remains tied to the immortal grass gestating within him 1.

• During later seclusion, nine Taiyin and Taiyang stars entered his body; a Dao Seal and character appeared between his brows before receding 121.

Chen Tian initially embraces the idea of becoming stronger through “slacking,” preferring systems that reward rest, leisure, chat, and entertainment over conventional arduous cultivation 1 73. He is also ambitious and highly pragmatic. Chen Tian repeatedly pursues world origins, systems, treasures, and Dao comprehension to strengthen himself, and he is willing to provoke or destroy hostile worlds to advance the Primordial World 179 316 374.
