Henry still had no clear understanding of how assassins operated in the Marvel Universe.
Although he often chatted with Cassandra, she herself was a historical observer who existed outside the organization. Let alone having any authority within it, perhaps even those who knew her were exceedingly rare.
So Henry first asked Cassandra to scout things out and sound them out, to see whether there was any point where he could exert influence among the assassins. Rather than rashly showing himself and trying to order them around.
This woman, who had lived from the era of Ancient Greece and Sparta to the present day, readily agreed. She had always witnessed the harm caused by Vampires. It was simply beyond her ability to eradicate them completely; at most, she could deal with whatever happened before her eyes.
Now, the changes of this era seemed like the best opportunity. Even if they could not wipe out the Vampires entirely, they had to take this chance to cripple these creatures of darkness and make them afraid. So she intended to use her influence as well.
As for the Continental Hotel, it had money. Put up a bounty, and it could make these killers risk their lives. But that felt like a bottomless pit, and Henry did not think his fortune was enough to buy every Vampire's life across North America.
Thinking back to the Reaper crisis in 2002, the Continental Hotel had taken the initiative to contribute money and manpower to clear out those highly dangerous new Vampires. Henry wanted to test the hotel's attitude this time and see whether he could pick up an ally for free.
Unlike his approach toward the assassins, Henry had met the New York Continental Hotel's manager, Winston Scott, several times, and their conversations had gone fairly well.
