Biological laboratory
In the end, Green Arrow Duck was still entangled with three women, making him feel like he was having a run of bad luck.
However, led by Alice, they arrived at the laboratory where she had been trapped. "Be careful, Virus-Infected Dogs appeared here before. I killed a few, but I'm not sure if they're all gone."
As if in response to Alice's words, two Doberman Pinschers infected with the T-virus suddenly leaped out from behind the window, pouncing with a speed unlike that of ordinary Zombies.
Green Arrow Duck stepped directly to the front of the group, shoving its paws into the mouths of the two dogs. Simultaneously, it straightened its arms, pointed its Railgun at the finger to reduce the bullet's kinetic energy, and fired a bursting bullet!
The salvo produced only one loud bang, and the two exploded dog heads sprayed blood and flesh backward, looking quite horrifying.
Unfortunately, all the women present were incredibly daring, and none of them would scream over such a small scene. Ada Wong even tried to play the victim and use the Duck Plushie's protection to build rapport; but after seeing the other two's reactions, she abandoned that idea.
Jill Valentine knew that Green Arrow Duck had scouting abilities. "Did you see those two dogs just now? Are there any other Monster around here?"
They pulled out a small portion of the dead dog's spine, completely eliminating any possibility of it jumping up again. Green Arrow Duck said, waving his arms, "Strictly speaking, it's not about seeing, but rather the detection results from the Infrared Thermal Imager, which allows me to see—"
"Well, saying I saw them isn't entirely wrong. I did see them beforehand. There are a few Zombies in the labs every three rooms around here, but they don't seem to have noticed us yet."
"Even if they find out, the lab's security doors aren't ones that Zombies can open. So there's no need to worry about them. As for further away, I don't know."
Green Arrow Duck arrived at the lab's computer and began hacking it using the same method.
Knowing that the area was generally safe, Alice and Jill Valentian didn't run out to check on the Duck Plushie and clear the area like they had before. They stayed in the laboratory, looking around.
Jill Valentian didn't really know what she was looking for; she just hoped to find some evidence of the Umbrella Corporation's crimes so that she could bring down this unscrupulous company in the future.
Alice was similar, but she was trying to uncover more of her memories by recalling her last experience in this laboratory.
Ada Wong, however, stayed by Green Arrow Duck's side, not only to keep a close watch on his actions but also to cultivate a relationship and build connections.
Ada Wong, who was standing nearby, pretended to wave her Trench Coat at herself, as if she felt hot, and took it off. Underneath, she wore a classic red pencil dress that accentuated her alluring curves.
Watching the Green Arrow Duck's fingertips extend several wires, connect to the USB Port, and power on the computer, and even without touching the mouse and keyboard, the computer seemed to be operating various programs.
"Oh, you can actually operate a computer like that. It seems the technology in your costume is far more advanced than outsiders realize. Could you tell me who made it? Was it Japan? Europe? Or some local high-tech company?"
"My garage."
"Oh, where do you live? Can I come and see it?"
"In the United States."
What material is your gear made of? Is it bulletproof?
"Metal."
"How did you hack into Umbrella's internal computers? Did you have internal account privileges?"
Use your brain.
"That's great, you're willing to answer every question, even though every answer is nonsense."
Ida Wong rested her elbows on the desk where Green Arrow Duck was working, propped her chin on the back of her hand, and bent over like the number 7, showing off her long, crossed legs in a very graceful way.
Green Arrow Duck remained unmoved, its Duck Plushie staring directly at the computer screen. "You have too many questions. You know I can't possibly answer them seriously."
"Oh, what are you worried about? The FBI coming to your door?"
"This lady who keeps insisting she's from the FBI, you should know that your behavior is actually quite unlike that of an FBI Agent. People who don't know better might think you're Russia- trained Red Sparrow."
Straightening up, Ada Wong abandoned her previous coquettish demeanor and resumed her heroic expression, her eyes sharply fixed on Green Arrow Duck.
"The FBI's psychology training only teaches us how to deal with a person and how to observe subtle facial expressions. But you were hiding inside a mascot costume and using an electronic voice instead of your own, so I didn't even know if you were male or female."
"In this situation, I can only use my most advantageous methods to test you, to observe your reactions and feedback. And you must be able to remain unaffected by..."
The movement proves that if the person inside isn't a woman, then he's a homosexual.
The Green Arrow Duck wasn't angry; instead, it looked somewhat helpless. "So, realizing that sweet talk didn't work, you're resorting to provoking me to test me? Does who I am really that important to you?"
Ada Wang smiled. "I can't resist the allure of a mysterious person. I can't help but want to know who you really are. Can't you just satisfy my curiosity? Besides, you don't think I'm the only one who's curious, do you?"
The two women, who had long wanted to curse Ada Wong as a vile woman, had remained silent until now. To say they weren't curious at all about who was under the Duck Plushie would be a lie.
Being singled out like that, Alice and Jill Valentine looked away somewhat awkwardly, touching this and that, pretending to be nonchalant.
"Haven't you ever thought about one thing? Maybe I'm not human." The Green Arrow Duck, operating the computer, began to spout nonsense.
"Not human? Then what are you?"
"I am Quantum Light Being from the Land of Light of Light in the M78 Nebula, which is three million light-years away from Earth."
Ada Wong covered her mouth and chuckled. "Haha, alright, Ultraman, I hope you're satisfied with the peace on Earth. After all, we don't encounter Giant Monster attacks every week."
As she spoke, Ada Wong picked up her Trench Coat and rummaged around in it. She pulled a USB Flash Drive from one of the pockets and placed it in front of the Green Arrow Duck. "Is there any valuable information on this computer? For example, research data on viruses and Antiviral Serum?"
"Although I would like to say that this place has all kinds of information, it actually only contains experimental data on the interaction between the virus and Antiviral Serum."
Furthermore, this is only BSL-2 laboratory, and it should not be used to handle viruses that can be transmitted through the air.
The reason Green Arrow Duck made such a criticism is because the air in this laboratory can be recirculated to other building areas. Otherwise, in the movie, the T-virus, which was initially broken in the glass bottle stored here, would not have spread throughout the entire Hive Base.
Higher-level biological laboratories have a strict requirement for their exhaust systems: the exhaust must be non-recirculating and filtered through High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filter (HEPA) filter before being discharged directly outdoors. This facility clearly does not meet the standards.
It can be said that the leak of the T-virus was not simply a case of a commercial spy breaking in, intending to destroy the entire Hive Base and use the virus and Antiviral Serum in his possession as the only remaining samples to increase their value.
Behind this lies the negligence of researchers at the Umbrella Corporation, the lack of rigor in the virus handling process—and possibly even the leniency of higher-ups, allowing this thing to leak so that they could conduct a social experiment.
"So, Cleansing Plan has already been formulated?" Green Arrow Duck pondered.
