The Train in Motion
My child used to idolize you.
A soldier's sarcastic remark startled the snoring Clown-Sup. The awakened man looked around and realized he was locked in a specially designed prisoner's seat with other Mutants.
Everyone looked like they'd eaten dog shit, their faces contorted in pain, hands clasped behind their backs. The posture was extremely uncomfortable and ergonomically unnatural.
But what really makes everyone uncomfortable is the X-Gene Control Device on their necks. This device can effectively suppress everyone's mutant abilities. Even Omega-level Mutant, once fitted with the collar, can only behave like kittens.
Judging from the vibrations, the group was on a special train, and the military was preparing to transfer them all to Mutant Control Center —basically, a prison specifically for Mutants.
Hank McCoy, now back in human form, heard the snoring stop, glanced at the awakened Clown-Sup, and said with a mixture of helplessness and anticipation:
"Finally awake. You can really sleep; I'd think you'd been electrocuted. After all, you're the first person to take a dozen paralysis grenades in one go."
"I'm still developing, so eating and sleeping well are essential. Otherwise, what if I don't grow up? Will you take responsibility?" Clown-Sup replied with a completely blatant lie.
Hank asked in a low voice, "Well, I'm wondering if the X-Gene Suppression Collars will work for you too?"
"Ah, I'm so weak. Ah, I'm so sad." A Joker's spirit possessed him, and he shouted to the soldiers who had run to the front and back of the carriage to rest, "Hey, do you guys have any adult diapers? Help me change into one."
"The control collar you guys gave me is working so well! I feel like my bladder and anus are about to give way, and the stuff inside is about to leak out. Hey, did you hear me?"
All the Mutants, including the soldiers in the same carriage, looked in the same direction with disgust. Only Nightcrawler said worriedly, "Does the suppression collar really have that effect? I feel strange in my stomach too."
Hank sighed and said, "Kurt, that's just your imagination. You're fine."
At the same time, Hank knew that relying on this alien, who was probably not Mutants, to help was impossible. Raven, the helper you specifically requested really wasn't of any use.
Magneto, whose Psychic Defense Helmet had been reduced to fragments, ignored Clown-Sup's antics. Instead, he looked at his old friend and rival with a mocking expression and said, "Charles, I thought the U.S. military was your ally."
How did you end up like me?
Professor X said slightly, "Isn't this an inevitable outcome once we start fighting in the city? Only you..."
That wouldn't cause that kind of destruction. That's why I warned you long ago, battles between Mutants will only result in a lose-lose situation."
"Ha, you're making it sound like the U.S. military bears no responsibility whatsoever. Or do you mean we're just supposed to surrender whenever they raise their guns, no matter the reason?" Square Magneto said sarcastically.
The professor said with dissatisfaction, "It's because of your actions that the whole thing got out of control and turned into this situation."
"Ah, yes, how could Professor X, who is always right, possibly make a mistake? Charles, your arrogance is truly astounding. Are you so intoxicated by the title of superhero that you can't extricate yourself?"
This time, the mockery did not agitate Professor X. Instead, it made him silent for a moment before he reflected on himself and said, "I have indeed made many mistakes, but my desire to help Qin has never changed."
"I never intended to hand him over to anyone—the military, you, or those aliens. His extraordinary power was an accident. What If...? I could, I would rather not have sent him on that space mission, or have taken the blame for him."
"But now we have something else to watch out for. I know what those aliens are after. That force destroyed their home planet, but that same force can also be used to terraform a planet."
"Those aliens are targeting Earth. They will wipe out everyone on Earth and allow their civilization to revive here. Soldiers, heed my warning and report to your superiors. This is not over yet."
"Enough!" The sergeant leading the team slammed his rifle butt against the support structure on the train, shouting, "Stop talking about aliens! We haven't seen a single small, brown, big-headed Monster from beginning to end. It's just you Mutants causing trouble!"
This ET meme is just not going to go away.
However, Professor X would like to say that there was clearly an alien in the car, but everyone chose to ignore it.
Professor X had no choice but to patiently explain, "Actually, I'm certain that the fireballs we saw were an alien landing operation. The reason they didn't reveal themselves to us after they gathered was because we were having internal conflicts."
"Their primary goal was to seize the power within Jean's body, and they were almost about to trick the alien who was following Jean into doing so, but Scott interrupted them."
"So you don't need to worry about not seeing any evidence of aliens, because they will inevitably come to take the rest. What better place is there than this train that passes through the suburbs and heads to the Mutant Control Center?"
"Stop talking nonsense." The sergeant in charge said angrily, "No one dares to attack a military train except for troublemakers like you. They couldn't do it even if they had the guts!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than several crashing sounds came from above the carriage, immediately putting the soldiers inside on edge.
Everyone held their rifles level, but also furtively glanced at the top of the carriage, at the earliest source of the collision sound.
The Mutants restrained inside the carriage, while not all of them were battle-hardened, possessed a level of combat sensitivity far exceeding that of ordinary United States soldiers. They all sensed the ominous feeling of an impending storm.
Cyclops then said to the soldiers, "Untie us. We can stand on the same side."
"Shut up! Who knows if they're your Mutants henchmen trying to break us out of prison?" the local officer in charge retorted defiantly. At the same time, he spoke into his walkie-talkie, "Report on the Mutants enemy situation."
Suddenly, a series of gunshots rang out from the rear carriage, along with sounds of collisions from somewhere, indicating a fierce battle. This made the soldiers in the carriage where the Mutants prisoners were located even more tense.
Intermittently, the voice came through the walkie-talkie. "They... they aren't..."
"No what? Report!" the leading sergeant asked nervously, while the other soldiers raised their guns and warily watched the passageway connecting the front and rear carriages.
The machine gunner at the rear also pulled the bolt, preparing to fire.
