Assassination Package
Henry didn't care at all about the chain reaction that would be caused by urging Tony Stark to seek help from the military to deal with Hydra, which was hiding within S.H.I.E.L.D..
Anyway, I'm just the one who comes up with the idea. With the listening jammer working, as long as Tony Stark doesn't blab about his role in this, no one else will know.
If the military and Snake Shield beat someone's brains to a pulp, it won't concern them.
Moreover, the military and intelligence agencies have always been at odds, not to mention S.H.I.E.L.D.., an organization that evolved from the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR), which is like a unit that has betrayed the military.
Everyone would assume that Stark Industries, in its transformation into a military-industrial complex, relied on its good relationship with the military, and that genius made a snap decision...
It's perfectly normal to come up with an idea.
Henry followed Tony Stark away. He had to go to the airport to pick up his daughter, who had finally obtained her visa again from the United States. Embassy in the United Kingdom and was flying back to Los Angeles.
Just before getting into the car, Henry hesitated slightly. Using his Super Senses, he looked around to make sure there were no surveillance personnel and that he was in a blind spot of the parking lot's surveillance system. Then he reached under the seat and pried off the bomb detonator.
Of course, I didn't install this myself. I squeezed the detonator in my hand to detonate it, minimizing the damage. I casually tossed the other harmless parts of the detonator against the wall.
The explosives given away for free have another use, so we can keep them. Henry was just worried about not being able to obtain explosives; four quarter-pound TNT bars...
This isn't something you can just buy anywhere.
On his way to the airport, Henry, who routinely monitors his surroundings to avoid being blocked by the police, the FBI, or other official organizations, overhears a conversation.
"Target spotted, brown vintage Cadillac. Proceed along the planned route."
This is what a sanitation worker, pretending to tidy up the environment by the roadside, said into a hidden Mike.
Expanding his search area slightly, Henry spotted a garbage truck parked across the street at the next intersection. The other end of the walkie-talkie was here.
After being notified, the driver started the vehicle, poised to ram into passing vehicles from the side.
To avoid the garbage truck that seemed to have been waiting and was about to run him over, Henry swerved onto another road ahead of time. Instead of taking the shortest route towards the airport, he drove around to a flower shop.
He bought a bouquet mainly of white and pink royal dahlias, and as Henry left, he caught a sniper bullet on his forehead.
Was it because the shop assistants took too long to prepare the bouquets, giving the sniper the opportunity to move to the sniping location? However, the shop assistants weren't colluding; it's just that Henry didn't buy the already prepared bouquets but chose other wrapping options, which took some time.
He reaped what he sowed.
Henry didn't react much; he simply tilted his head slightly, as if his head had been hit. But in reality, he just wanted the ricochet to bounce upwards and hit the building wall, so as not to injure innocent passersby.
Henry scratched the spot where he had been hit by a 12.7mm bullet, then got into the car as if nothing had happened and continued driving to the airport.
The stunned sniper stared at his rifle, contemplating shooting himself in the head to see if the bullets he'd bought were soft.
While driving, Henry encountered another pickup truck, speeding along and honking its horn at full blast. It nearly rear-ended the Cadillac several times, but Henry narrowly avoided each collision.
Not wanting a high-speed car chase on the main city streets, Henry took advantage of the narrowness of the roads, sometimes speeding, sometimes slowing, sometimes turning left and sometimes right, creating a game of cat and mouse in the car.
But all his actions were like normal driving behavior on busy downtown streets in Los Angeles. It was just like a clumsy, novice driver who hadn't been learning to drive for long.
The guy chasing the car eventually crashed into a fire hydrant. Judging from the smoking hood, he wouldn't be able to catch up anymore.
As for Henry, he felt that not getting out of the car and giving the other person a six-month hospital stay was already quite lenient. Picking up his girlfriend at the airport was more important; he'd already wasted some time at the flower shop.
However, Henry also had some doubts: was the other person intentionally targeting him, or was he simply a road rage driver? At least the other person hadn't said anything about assassination while cursing in the car.
However, a string of profanities that needed to be censored and muted made Henry want to wash his ears.
Having narrowly avoided two potential car accidents, Henry finally managed to park the car in the airport parking lot. He got out of the car, carrying the bouquet of flowers.
In the departure hall of Los Angeles International Airport, a woman in business attire, carrying a syringe and using her briefcase as cover, attempted to inject Henry with a poisoned needle.
Normally, all it would have taken was a flick of the wrist, followed by thumb pressure to inject potassium cyanide solution into the body; even a miracle couldn't save him.
Who knew that this flick would knock the needle askew? Completely unaware, the thumb that pressed down only caused the solution to spray everywhere, spilling all over the floor.
The female assassin realized her mistake, but dared not linger for even a moment, and hurriedly left according to the original plan.
Henry didn't stop him from this little trick, pretending not to notice the little action hidden by the bouquet.
I thought this was the only group at the airport, but then two burly men carrying stun guns appeared and walked towards me from a distance.
Passing by? A coincidence? Or--
Henry walked towards the airport police, seemingly avoiding the crowd as if to protect the bouquet.
Whether it was because the two men looked too menacing, or because they were already on the wanted list, the aviation police approached them as soon as they saw them.
Perhaps they were guilty, or maybe they were just big and timid. In any case, these two ran away as soon as they saw the police walking towards them; they had extremely poor mental fortitude.
As soon as they ran, the police gave chase. They probably didn't even know what they were chasing, but seeing their attitude, arresting them was definitely the right thing to do. In short, Henry didn't even need to lift a finger; those two big, cute little guys just self-destructed. Henry, who was watching the show, was speechless.
Henry said that on his way from leaving Stark Studios to the airport, he encountered at least five groups of assassins. He didn't believe that the Continental Hotel was behind such a high density of assassins.
If those lone wolves dare to flock to Los Angeles without paying any respects, they'll be welcomed by the silt at the bottom of Los Angeles Harbor!
But—did I stir up a hornet's nest? Or did I put a bounty on my head?
Henry, holding a bouquet of flowers and waiting for someone, was deep in thought.
Continental Hotel are essentially a platform for assassins; it's not surprising that someone would target you if they offered a bounty.
Regardless of his past work as a service worker in the Continental Hotel system, and the fact that he hasn't completely left, that's no excuse from being wanted with a bounty on his head. He hasn't worked in a long time and hasn't paid protection money, so it's only natural that he's not being protected.
As for the bounty that would be placed on him during this time, Henry didn't even think about it; one name immediately came to mind: the Arden Family.
Just as I was pondering this, a familiar girl called out, "Darling!"
Henry, of course, first presented Charlize Theron with a bouquet of flowers when she rushed over with her luggage, then returned the gesture with a warm hug and a kiss.
The reunion of long-separated lovers is not an uncommon sight at the airport. However, it does attract quite a few envious glances from other couples.
