Alkali Lake

The Alkali Lake Dam in Alberta, central Canada, was a secret U.S. military base and the site of the notorious Weapon X Program.

It was roughly 3,500 kilometers from New York, clearly beyond the range of any helicopter. But for the Boar Mech, equipped with alien technology like a super catapult acceleration system, getting here took no more than the blink of an eye.

However, after arriving, Boar did not charge headlong into the secret base. He still needed to study the infiltration route. He could not alert them too soon and let his target escape.

The dam itself was not large. It seemed impossible for it to contain a military research base.

But an on-site inspection revealed that the dam was merely an upper passageway for entering and leaving. The real base lay beneath the entire area, including the nearby Alkali Industrial Area.

There were two entrances, one large and one small. One was an ordinary staff passage for maintaining the equipment inside the dam, with nothing more than a standard iron door. The other was the reservoir spillway, wide enough for heavy trucks to pass through.

From the movie, he knew that the base's control center operated the water gates here. If enemies or strangers invaded, the U.S. military could release the water and wash away anyone entering through the spillway.

The Boar Mech, which made extensive use of Isu Technology, was far smaller than Green Arrow Duck, a mech built purely on mechanical technology. Even after Green Arrow Duck stripped away its fluffy outer disguise, it had not become much smaller and could not fit through the ordinary pedestrian passage and its door.

So Boar could skip the spillway and enter the dam directly through that iron door. The drawback was that guards were stationed nearby.
