Henry had always had one concern: there were a few more people here than in the movie. Would the people of that mysterious tribe still be willing to show themselves? If the Spider Tribe could glimpse the course of fate through the power gained from spider venom, perhaps they would accept the three girls who might one day become Spider-Woman and Spider-Girl.

Oh, right. He was overthinking it. Henry did not believe that spiders from the Marvel Universe could bite through a Kryptonian's skin.
On the other hand, grinding a potful of live spiders into pulp and drinking it might have a better chance of working. Though that was more likely to give him diarrhea than trigger a mutation. He would be sickened by the disgust, not because any bacteria could affect a Kryptonian.
But could he, someone with no possible connection to the Spider Totem, be the reason that tribe refused to appear?
Maybe if they found no clues after searching for a day, Henry would have to take the initiative and withdraw, letting the women venture on their own. If they still found nothing, the three girls would stay behind too, leaving only Cathy to press onward alone.
Whether it was the visions helping them, or this land somehow blessing those close to the Spider Totem, the women barely needed the map after setting foot on shore. They simply knew which way to go.
