"It had to do with the mechanical tentacles on Doctor Octopus." After laying out his observations and conclusions, Henry summed up, "I don't believe that thing's artificial intelligence was all that powerful.
"But it might have acted like an emotional amplifier, prioritizing efficiency above all else and unleashing the evil and obsessions in a person's heart. So as long as he remained fixated on making the Artificial Sun a success and becoming famous, there was a high chance he would redo the ignition experiment."
Though Alexei himself could not understand that line of thinking, Henry's explanation was coherent enough, so he followed that train of thought. "Then a conflict between the two sides was practically inevitable."
"And—" Henry trailed off.
"What are you trying to do?" Alexei asked.
Henry tapped the eyepatch he had just made. "I have a feeling that my current loss of control might be caused by the imbalance between my eyes. So I need to find a second Artificial Sun to absorb.
"Either I wait for Doctor Octopus to ignite one, or I find a way to get Tritium from Oscorp and ignite an Artificial Sun myself."
That was what he said, but Henry also realized that producing Tritium on Earth might not be easy. He could collect it from the Moon. He could play around with nuclear fusion however he liked. Even putting ten suns in the sky at once would not be much of a problem.
But judging from how the first Artificial Sun had gone out of control, hoping Doctor Octopus's second one would simply sink into the Hudson River after it destabilized and make the disaster vanish was less realistic than hoping Godzilla would suddenly show up and eat its fill.
According to the movie's plot, the second Artificial Sun would be
