On the thirteenth day of his journey to Sinnoh, it rained lightly.
Drip, drip—
Yu Hai woke up in the tent early in the morning, rubbed his sleepy eyes, and heard the dripping outside.
The light rain had begun last night. He had fallen asleep to its sound and slept quite soundly. Today, he planned to ask someone where along the coast he had landed.
If he wanted to participate in Sinnoh's Lily of the Valley Conference, he would need to collect Badges. However, conferences in every region could earn Qualification Badges, so there was no need to go through all that trouble collecting entry Badges.
Since collecting Badges was not his goal, only one purpose remained: catching that Shiny Metagross. He could also pay Raisu a visit while he was at it, though he had no idea where Metagross was.
He had not watched much of the later anime. He only remembered that Sinnoh had more than one Metagross—there was another one that constantly fought a Magnezone. Unfortunately, that Metagross was not Shiny.
"Forget it. Whether I find it or not depends on fate," Yu Hai said as he got up early, made breakfast for his Pokémon, and prepared some for himself as well.
The scent of breakfast drifted far away and reached someone starving out of his mind. After freezing all night, he struggled to his feet and felt his way toward the smell, wearing an intoxicated expression. "That smells amazing... What is it?"
Yu Hai and his Pokémon were eating breakfast and had not noticed anyone approaching. Only when rustling suddenly came from the grass did he look over and see Jiro tumble out.
"Huh? Instant Noodle Hai?" That was the last thing Jiro saw before he fainted from the fall.
"Huh? Why is this guy here?"
