No one would disturb Yu Hai next. To prevent anyone from spying, he had Gengar use Shadow Power to cover the entire power supply room. Even if there were cameras, they would see nothing but darkness.

He released the three Magnemite and took out the remaining Electric Gems. He had the three Magnemite attach themselves to the exposed wires, then flipped the switch to connect the positive and negative terminals, allowing the Magnemite to repeatedly combine and evolve. Magneton's Potential rose to sixty-eight.

After taking out all the Electric Gems, he found that there were only a little over a hundred. At one gem per attempt, they were only enough for a little over thirty uses.

That was only enough to raise its Potential from sixty-eight to seventy-nine. It would not even clear the Champion threshold.

When Gengar had broken through that threshold, it had cost over a hundred million. That had only been the expense for one Pokémon. If he wanted to push all three Magnemite to Champion level, it would cost over three hundred million separately.

So Gengar had actually been the cheapest. It only needed to rise on its own, while there were three Magnemite and all three needed to rise. It was not really a disadvantage, though. The real problem was simply that he was poor.

Once all three Magnemite reached Champion level, there should be some different changes. Otherwise, those three hundred million would have been spent for nothing.
