The Vanishing Future

The twelfth day of the journey to the Johto Region, sunny.

In the future world, Yu Hai still had no intention of leaving the future. It was daytime now, and Sakaki was still guarding his corpse in the past world. If he went back now, he would be walking straight into a trap.

He could only wait until nightfall. Scyther was still soaking in the lake, and Celebi had not been released yet. It was not time.

He was still thinking about how to break out of this situation. His future self had failed to escape—was it because he had not had the time, or because he had not been confident enough?

The key to breaking the deadlock was related to Gengar. Anything related to Gengar could only be Shadow Power, as well as the greater strength that Mega Evolution could unleash.

But his opponent was Sakaki, with two Champion-level Legendary Pokémon. Even if Gengar became godlike, it would be useless. After all, Sakaki had more than one Legendary Pokémon.

So it did not seem to be Mega Evolution or Shadow Power, but anti-gravity, something on par with Shadow Power. That left only one possibility: Giratina's Distortion World.

But Gengar had not mastered anti-gravity. How could it open Giratina's Distortion World? In the movies, the ones who could open the Distortion World were all Legendary Pokémon. Even that little runt Shaymin could open it.

Unless it was Mega Gengar. Mega Gengar could connect to another dimension, and that dimension could lead anywhere—including Giratina's Distortion World.
