Today was the fifth day of the Orange Tournament's Preliminary Round, and also the first day of the Group Stage.

After four days of preliminaries, they had finally reached the Group Stage. There were four Group Stage matches in total, held across four different fields over four days, using a Three-on-Three format.

They had finally endured their way to the Group Stage. Yu Hai got up this morning and yawned. He had spent quite a few evenings these past few days accompanying Dunmei on shopping trips. Anyone who had gone shopping with a girl would understand. Those who had not, well, there was no helping them.

He spent the day helping his Pokémon adapt to their held items and spent the evening shopping with her. His schedule was certainly full, and the matches were not exhausting either, so why did he feel so tired?

Today's Group Stage required a draw. The drawing venue was outside Competitor Village. The four fields were assigned at random, as were the opponents.

Knock, knock, knock—

Dunmei had come knocking early in the morning, which was why he had gotten up yawning. He truly had not slept well.

He and Ada quickly washed up and headed to the Competitor Village cafeteria. They would eat breakfast before going to draw lots. The competitors whose matches had already begun were those who had drawn first.

"We've finally reached the Group Stage," Ada said as he looked at the huge live broadcast screen in the cafeteria. His father had given him plenty of battle guidance these past few days, and he had finally collected five Badges on the third day of the Preliminary Round.
