Yu Hai stepped into Cherrygrove City once again. He had not gone far during this time; his pre-competition training had remained near the same desert. The desert's wind, sand, and arid conditions had been perfect for tempering his Pokémon's resolve. Now that he had returned to this bustling city, he felt an unusual sense of familiarity.
He had returned to Cherrygrove City for Rhydon and Slowking. It was time to send those two back.
Rhydon had been here for over a month, and during that time, it had eaten every last Tyranitar Fragment.
There was little point in keeping Slowking here either. He no longer needed Slowking's translations, so he might as well send it back and have the experienced Grandpa Dunmei train it. Perhaps Slowking could break through to Elite Four level sooner.
He strode briskly into Cherrygrove City's Pokémon Center. People came and went inside, various Pokémon posters hung on the walls, and soft lighting spilled into every corner.
He walked over to the communications terminal, took a deep breath, and called Cinnabar Gym.
Before long, the screen lit up. The one who answered was Xiao Feng, the undercover agent, and his familiar face appeared on the screen.
As soon as Xiao Feng appeared, he greeted him with a smile. "Hey, A Hai, long time no see! What made you think of calling me?"
Yu Hai smiled faintly. "Xiao Feng, it's time to send my Rhydon back. Please receive it for me and hand it over to Blaine."
Xiao Feng patted his chest in assurance. "No problem. Leave it to me—you can rest easy!"
After chatting briefly, Yu Hai operated the Pokémon Teleporter and sent Rhydon's Poké Ball over.
Then he ended the
