After a pleasant picnic and camping trip, Seiya and Minezaki did not rush into the Gourmet World. Instead, they first began gathering information at the camp.
When venturing into unknown territory, information and proper preparation were essential. Over two days of gathering intelligence, Seiya and the others learned that rare ingredients could indeed improve one's physical abilities.
The higher the Capture Level of the rare ingredient, the greater the improvement it provided. Moreover, the extent of that improvement was also related to the skill of the chef preparing it.
The more delicious the dish made from a rare ingredient, the greater the enhancement that ingredient provided to the body.
Since rare ingredients only provided enhancement the first time they were eaten, skilled chefs were even more sought after in the Gourmet World.

(I know about the Gourmet Cells setting from Toriko, but this is a secondary setting. I won't be writing plots or characters from Toriko, only borrowing some of its settings.)
Over these two days, aside from gathering information and preparing to head to the Gourmet World, Seiya and Minezaki had spent almost all their remaining time eating.
Now that they knew rare ingredients were not only
