"Hello, is this Liu Yutong's home?"
"Yes. May I ask who you are...?"
When Liu Yutong's mother opened the door, she saw two men in jackets standing outside.
"We're from the Sea City Bureau." One of them showed his credentials and asked gently, "Is Liu at home?"
Mother Liu could not help being startled and hurriedly asked, "What happened to my Yutong?"
"Don't worry, ma'am. We're only here to ask Liu a few questions." The young man on the left nodded with a smile. "They concern one of her classmates."
"Oh, oh, she's home, she's home!" Mother Liu hastily let the two men in, then hurriedly pushed open Liu Yutong's bedroom door.
The two men exchanged a glance, then followed after her together.
"What is it?"
Liu Yutong had been using her computer. Hearing the door open, she turned around and saw her mother in front, with two men behind her.
"These two are police officers from the City Bureau. They said they want to ask you some questions about a classmate."
Mother Liu absolutely did not believe her daughter would voluntarily commit a crime, but she feared that Liu Yutong might have been inadvertently dragged into something. Both worried and anxious, she said, "You must answer them properly!"
"Police? A classmate?" Liu Yutong was completely bewildered. "Who? Why are they looking for me?"
Liu Yutong's expression was utterly natural. The two men exchanged another glance, and the man on the left said with a smile, "It concerns Duan Haoran."
"Duan Haoran? What happened to him?" Liu Yutong frowned. "I already broke up with him!"
Mother Liu had heard Liu Yutong complain about him before. "That boy who kept pestering you after you broke up with him? What happened to him?"
"How would I know?" Liu Yutong shook her head
