When Lei Zhiyun regained consciousness, he was already in a hospital in Toronto.
"Fuck!"
His first words were a curse. Lei Zhiyun shot upright, his eyes filled with terror.

The door to the private ward was pushed open, and two Hua Country men in suits rushed in.

Cold sweat covered his forehead as he looked at the two men who had rushed in, then at the spotless white ward and its quiet surroundings. For a moment, he had no idea whether what had happened before was a dream, or whether he was dreaming now.
"Who are you? Where am I?" Lei Zhiyun asked blankly.
"Mr. Lei, you suddenly went missing yesterday morning, and we couldn't reach you by phone. After the staff reported it, we worked with the Maple Country police on a large-scale search. Then, close to midnight yesterday, we found you, Mr. Wang Zhiyi, and Mr. Qi Yong unconscious by the lakeshore outside Toronto," one of them said.
"Huh?" Lei Zhiyun looked utterly baffled. Could everything he had experienced yesterday have been real? "Mr. Lei, we conducted a full-body examination overnight. You are not seriously injured, so please rest assured," the other man said.
"Oh, right. Of course, I'm fine." Lei Zhiyun nodded blankly.
"What... what happened to you yesterday?" the man on the left asked. "When we found the three of you yesterday, all of you were soaked through. It seemed as though someone had thrown you into the lake?"
