Reaching the top of a slope, Lin Wan lifted her goggles and excitedly waved at Lu Zheng.
Lu Zheng skied up, braked with his skis pigeon-toed inward, then planted his poles into the snow.
"Not bad, that was fast!"
"Hehe!"
Although she knew Lu Zheng had let her win, Lin Wan was still delighted. "Again!"
"Let's go!"
"Not gonna lie, skiing is pretty fun. I think it's more fun than driving," Lin Wan said with a smile.
Racing cars, motorcycles, skiing—sports like these were all about experiencing that lightning-fast rush. It was Lin Wan's first time skiing, and she was enjoying it immensely.
"Huh? Hello! We meet again!"
Lu Zheng turned around and saw two figures skiing toward them. Once they drew close and lifted their goggles, they turned out to be Robert and Nancy.
"Hahaha, you two were being so modest, saying you were beginners. Beginners couldn't possibly come here," Robert said with a laugh.
Lu Zheng smiled faintly. "We got lucky. Skiing wasn't as difficult as I imagined, so we picked it up quickly."
"You really know how to joke, sir," Robert said, laughing. "As they say in Hua Country, to meet is fate. May I ask what you two are called?"
Lu Zheng blinked, then nodded. "My name is Lu Zheng. This is my girlfriend, Lin Wan."
"Lu! Lin! Nice to meet you!" Robert pointed toward the slope beside them. "How about we go together?"
The corner of Lu Zheng's mouth curled up. He exchanged a glance with Lin Wan. "Sure!"
"Then let's set off."

Lu Zheng and Lin Wan smiled at each other, then showed their real skills. Before long, they had left Robert and Nancy far behind. After skiing a little farther, the other two had vanished without a trace.
