History

Original Mountain Gate

The sect was originally based in the Profound Pill Mountain Range of Shu Province, Great Qian. The range extended across Taibai, Nanyang, and Luofeng Commanderies, and the sect controlled it as its master. 1 4

It maintained more than 100,000 Outer Disciples and over 1,000 Inner Disciples. Outer Disciples generally occupied the low-to-mid Qi Condensation stages, while entry to the Inner Peaks required late Qi Condensation cultivation, with the seventh level serving as the stated threshold. 1

The original sect was centered on Profound Pill Peak, beneath which lay a Fifth-Tier Spirit Vein. Its Inner Peaks used Third- and Fourth-Tier Spirit Veins, while Outer Peaks relied on First- and Second-Tier Spirit Veins. 1 188

External Assignments and Pill Commerce

Outer Peak disciples had to complete 100 Contribution Points of sect missions each year to retain their residences. Disciples who lost their residences could be assigned to sect-owned businesses, where they remained nominal sect members while supporting themselves through pill-refining work. 1 4 7

The sect operated two major shop brands:

• Mystic Immortal Pill Shops — First-rate shops serving Foundation Establishment cultivators and above. 4
• Mystic Fire Pill Shops — Second-rate shops serving primarily Qi Refining cultivators. 4

The shops operated in every city of Taibai, Nanyang, and Luofeng Commanderies, as well as in the capitals of the other commanderies across the Qian-Shu Two Prefectures. The sect controlled at least thirty percent of Great Qian’s pill market. 4

Sect Wars and the Death Tribulation

The sect’s conflict with the Blood God Sect intensified into a wider struggle tied to the Supreme Void Sect and Southern Dipper Divine Palace. It later faced a coordinated assault by the Blood God Sect, Heavenly Soul Sect, cultivation families, and opportunistic outside cultivators seeking the sect’s secret treasury. 42 56 151

During the Profound Pill Death Tribulation, multiple Grand Elders died, the Universal Profound Gang Array was broken, and the mountain gate was breached by enemy Golden Core cultivators. 156

Although the sect survived the immediate war and established a Blood Sea branch on the former Blood God Sect’s territory, its original mountain gate later suffered a far greater catastrophe. 160 226

Destruction of the Original Sect

After the Blood Demon Battlefield incident, the original Profound Pill Mountain Range became a Corpse Domain. Its palaces decayed, corpses emerged from the ground, and every Spirit Vein—from the Fifth-Tier vein under Profound Pill Peak to the Outer Peak veins—became a dead vein. 227

The surviving Golden Core cultivators concluded that the original site could not be restored. They decided to rebuild at Primal Beast Mountain while maintaining the public fiction that Sect Master Yuan Shun had ascended or could return at any time, deterring hostile sects from probing the weakened organization. 227

Reconstruction and Later Relocations

The first reconstruction created a new main peak, six Inner Peaks, thirty-three Outer Peaks, and a rebuilt Combat Peak with restored Heaven, Earth, and Human Rankings. 228

After further development, the sect relocated to the Dazhuang Mountain Range. Its structure there consisted of Profound Pill Peak, nine Inner Peaks, and 108 Outer Peaks. 379

Following the Great Luo Immortal Court calamity, Han Yi used a Sect Founding Token to establish the Xuan Dan Immortal Sect in the Qingshu Mountain Range, marking the sect’s third founding. Lian Tingxi oversaw the establishment and administration of the new sect. 474

The sect was later moved again to Mount Tiankui, where its peaks—including Profound Pill Peak—were reconstructed amid large-scale construction. 626
