With a soft moan from Yukino, Hachiman left a pink hickey on her chest.
"Consider it marked," Hachiman said with a wicked grin, about to get more hands-on with the girl when Yukino's phone rang.
"Stop messing around, I'm answering this."
Yukino quickly pulled her hand out of Hachiman's grasp.
Hachiman was annoyed by whoever interrupted his fun, and became even more displeased upon hearing Yukino's address to the caller.
"Hello, Sister? What do you need?"
"Aren't you home?" Haruno asked, looking around Yukino's somewhat empty apartment with confusion.
"Huh? I've been staying at Hachiman's place all summer. What's up?" Yukino replied, a little embarrassed.
"Huh?" Haruno, who had just withdrawn her subordinates from Hachiman's side, was completely bewildered.
Damn it, what kind of love potion did this Hikigaya give my sister for her to be living together so quickly? Haruno thought, extremely displeased.
"It's nothing, Dad's back, so I wanted you to come home for a family gathering."
Although Haruno was jealous, she still explained.
"Oh, really? When? Today?"
"No, tomorrow. There's a banquet in the evening."
"Dad wants you to come back tonight."
"Oh, okay, I got it. I'll head back tonight."
Yukino agreed.
"Also..." Haruno, who had more to say, was hung up on by Yukino, her expression priceless.
"Hey, Hikigaya Hachiman, you keep watching them. Watch them closely," Haruno said resentfully to her subordinate.
After hanging up, Yukino looked at Hachiman apologetically.
"Um... I have to go home tonight. I'll be back the morning after tomorrow."
"It's fine, you go ahead. Don't worry about me," Hachiman said with a smile.
"Then I'll go pack. I'll leave in a bit?" Yukino asked, smoothing her messy hair and seeking Hachiman's opinion.
Hachiman nodded in agreement. He watched as Yukino took off her apron, hung it up, and headed for the bedroom.
Hachiman got up and went to the kitchen. He busied himself for a full half hour before turning off the stove, pouring the contents of the pot into a thermos, and quietly waiting for Yukino to come out.
Another ten minutes passed before Yukino emerged, towel-drying her hair. She sat down next to Hachiman, enjoying his meticulous care of her damp hair.
"Has it grown a bit longer?" Hachiman asked, holding Yukino's wet hair in his hands.
"Then I'll find some time to trim it."
Yukino replied comfortably.
"No need, it's fine like this," Hachiman said calmly. Although blow-drying Yukino's hair always took a considerable amount of time, both of them enjoyed it.
"Then I'll listen to you."
After Hachiman finished drying Yukino's hair, he skillfully took out a pair of unopened stockings from the cabinet and handed them over.
Yukino took the stockings and, sitting openly in front of Hachiman, slowly pulled them on.
Slipping on her short heels and taking her bag from Hachiman's hand, Yukino said with a smile, "Honey~ I'm leaving~"
Hachiman stepped forward, gave Yukino a light kiss on her forehead, and waved goodbye.
"Hmm, where's Mommy?" Little Rumi, having slept enough, toddled over to Hachiman for a hug. After being picked up, she looked around and asked.
"She had something to take care of at home. She'll be back the morning after tomorrow."
Hachiman pinched Rumi's nose as he explained.
"Awu~" Rumi bit Hachiman's hand, nibbling gently.
"What are you doing? It tickles," Hachiman said with a smile, feeling Rumi's tongue rub against his hand.
"Onii-chan, your phone. It's Yui-neechan."
Komachi unhappily tossed Hachiman's phone over before wiggling her little butt and returning to her room.
Hachiman patted Rumi's cute bottom, signaling her to get off him.
The little one obediently released her arms from Hachiman's neck and sat on the sofa, swinging her slender legs.
"Hey, you're back?"
"Ah~ I've been back for a few days now."
Yui's lively voice came from the phone.
"Did you have fun?"
"Hee hee hee, it was okay~"
"What do you need me for?" Hachiman asked directly.
"Ah~ I just wanted to ask Hikki for a favor~" Yui hesitated as she spoke.
"Aren't we having a fireworks festival tomorrow... I want to ask Hikki to go with me, is that okay~" Yui nervously clasped her hands, her chubby palms filled with sweat.
Hachiman considered for a moment before speaking calmly.

"Okay."
Hachiman replied.
"Hee hee hee~ I knew Hikki wouldn't refuse."
Yui sighed in relief, saying with some gratitude.
"Then~ I'll come find you tomorrow afternoon?"
Hachiman agreed calmly.
"Um.. ask Little Snow if she wants to go too~"
"She's gone home for something and can't make it."
Hachiman explained to Yui.
"Oh, is that so~ Then it's settled~ I'll come find you tomorrow afternoon."
Yui hung up the phone immediately after speaking.
Hachiman expressionlessly tossed the phone aside and picked up Rumi again, sitting back on the sofa.
"What do you want for dinner tonight?" Hachiman pinched Rumi's little nose and asked softly.
The little one furrowed her delicate brows, thinking deeply.
"I can't think of anything."
Rumi frankly leaned back onto Hachiman.
Hachiman smiled wryly and got up to check the remaining ingredients in the refrigerator.
"Tomorrow, you two can order takeout. I have to go out for a bit."
Hachiman said to the two people sitting opposite him as he ate.
"Eh? Onii-chan, where are you going?" Komachi looked up, a little confused.
"Yui-nee-chan asked me to go out with her, and I'll probably be back very late tonight."
"Oh~ Yui-nee-chan? Komachi's face suddenly showed a look of understanding.
"I see~ Don't worry, Onii-chan~ I won't tell Yukino-nee-chan."
Komachi said teasingly.
Hachiman impatiently tapped Komachi's head. "What are you thinking about?"
Komachi covered her head, not daring to speak again.
Hachiman took out a Yukichi from his wallet and gestured for Komachi to take it.
"This is for your meals tomorrow. You can keep the rest."
"Wow~ Onii-chan is so nice?"
Ignoring Komachi's loud exclamations, Hachiman calmly ate his meal.
"Hikki~ Hurry up and let's go~" Yui, wearing an orange yukata, knocked on the door of the Hikigaya house.
"Yo~ Hello, Yui-nee-chan."
Komachi ran out, opened the door, and greeted Yui.
"Yo~" Yui waved her small fan in response to Komachi.
"Where's Hachiman?"
"Ah~ Onii-chan will be out soon."
"Let's go."
As they spoke, Hachiman walked out of the house and gave instructions to Yui.
"Heeheehee, Onii-chan is having fun~" Komachi giggled as she closed the door.
"What are you still standing around for? If we don't leave now, we'll miss the next train."
Hachiman said this as he looked at Yui, who was standing there blankly.
"Huh? Oh."
Yui snapped back to attention at his words, stepped forward, and gently linked her arm with Hachiman's. The two walked down the road in silence.
For some reason, the street was completely silent at this moment, except for the pata-pata sound of Yui's wooden sandals on the ground.
"What's wrong? It's so quiet today?" Hachiman asked, confused.
"Huh? Nothing, I was just thinking about something else."
Yui, who had secretly gone out with Hachiman behind Yukino's back, felt a mix of shame and excitement, which made her somewhat distracted.
"Thinking about Yukino?" Hachiman knew what she was thinking just by looking at her expression.
"Eh? How did you know?"
Yui exclaimed, a slight blush on her pretty face.
"Heh," Hachiman scoffed coldly and continued, "I know you better than you know yourself."
"Although I can't remember the details of some things, I still have a general idea."
