Background

Gan Zi is a Loose Immortal of Jade Origin Palace and a registered disciple of True Lord Juyuan. After failing his original ascension tribulation, he became a Loose Immortal and endured recurring tribulations every thousand years. He remained in Tianyuan Continent as one of its hidden guardians, charged with preserving regional order under the Ancient Covenant of the Three Continents. 157

As Tianyuan’s guardian, Gan Zi claims authority over the balance of righteousness and evil within the continent. He imprisoned invading demon flood dragons for a day as a warning and stated that neither they nor the Dragon Clan could incite slaughter freely on Tianyuan Continent. 157

Gan Zi had been waiting for the foretold Child of Heaven and Earth, whom he believed would determine the lower realm’s survival during the coming great tribulation.
