Amid the hissing steam and swirling mist, the surfaces of countless Terracotta Puppets gradually cracked. The cracks grew larger and larger until every puppet finally shattered into piles of sand.

Pakura of Sunagakure paid little attention to her accomplishment. Her face was pale, and her brows were tightly furrowed.

Elsewhere, after using Earth Release to temporarily restrain a large group of Terracotta Puppets, the captain of the Iwagakure Decapitation Unit turned back toward the cave entrance with a grave expression.

At last, after all the light faded, a giant cocoon wrapped in white cloth covered in Sealing Jutsu inscriptions slowly descended before Hyuga Kagami and Shisui.

Shisui, still seated on the ground, looked delighted. "Did we succeed?"

Suddenly, a stream of dark purple chakra as thick as sludge burst out from a crack in the ground.

This abruptly emerging evil chakra did not attack anyone in the cave. Instead, it fled frantically toward the cave entrance.
