Obito was once a poorly ranked Ninja Academy student from Hyuga Kagami and Kakashi’s generation, but he later became the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze’s student and was remembered as a Konoha hero believed to have died during the Third Shinobi World War 410 1111.

His emotional bonds directly shaped his ocular power. Kakashi’s injury awakened his Two-Tomoe Sharingan, while Rin Nohara’s death evolved it into a Mangekyō Sharingan 200. Madara Uchiha exploited that grief by arranging for Rin to become the Three-Tails’ Jinchūriki, manipulating Obito into abandoning Konoha and pursuing his own vision of peace 261 1111.

Obito covertly fuels instability between Konoha and the Uchiha Clan. He assists Uchiha Shinichi because Shinichi’s defection and rebellion keep the two sides in conflict, then raids Root’s vault alongside Hyuga Kagami to acquire Sharingan 115 122.

He also targets Kirigakure, seeking to prevent the Fourth Mizukage Karatachi Yagura from restoring the village’s strength and undoing Madara’s long-term infiltration 261. Yagura eventually breaks free of Obito’s control, forcing Obito to reassess Kirigakure and investigate Orochimaru’s activities in Otogakure 384.

Conflict with the God Organization

The God Organization’s rise makes Obito increasingly apprehensive, particularly after reports that its Flame Demon had defeated Shisui 210. Fourth Shinobi World War
