Two Hideouts

The two ninja crows, one arriving before the other, had flown in from Konoha and Kirigakure respectively. Yet they carried the same message: Danzo's whereabouts had been discovered.

What surprised Hyuga Kagami, however, was that the information from the two sources did not match.

The intelligence sent by the Fourth Mizukage, Karatachi Yagura, stated that Danzo had been spotted near a cave within the Land of Waterfalls. Meanwhile, information obtained by Shisui through the village's Anbu indicated that Danzo's hideout was in a cave along the coast of the Land of Hot Water.

The Land of Iron and the Land of Rice Fields lay between the Land of Waterfalls and the Land of Hot Water, with thousands of miles separating them. Danzo could not possibly have appeared in both places at once within such a short time. One of them had to be fake—a smokescreen deliberately released by Danzo.

"Even when setting a trap, he doesn't forget to throw out a smokescreen. Is he worried about being surrounded?"

Hyuga Kagami saw through Danzo's intentions at a glance.

By leaking two hideouts, one real and one fake, Danzo was clearly trying to mislead the God Organization into splitting its powerful forces in two, easing the pressure on himself and preventing the entire God Organization from besieging him at once.

In Danzo's view, with his current strength, as long as the God Organization did not gather all its members in one place, even if he could not win, escaping would not be a problem.

"Which hideout is the real one?"

Hyuga Kagami pondered it for a while but came up empty.
