Hyuga Kagami fought Nagato while the Giant Tenseigan’s controller sent a meteor crashing into the battlefield, leaving Konoha devastated and both sides depleted. As the villages mourned and rebuilt, Kagami prepared for a hostage exchange while Orochimaru and Obito held the abducted children.

• Hyuga Kagami connected to the Giant Tenseigan and matched Nagato’s enhanced Shinra Tensei, then struck with Silver and Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosions while Nagato used Limbo: Border Jail and Planetary Devastation.
• Otsutsuki Toneri used the Giant Tenseigan to guide a meteor toward the battlefield, and Hyuga Kagami kept Nagato and Konan in its path as Nagato tried to shield the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
• The meteor struck, leaving Nagato bloodied and Kagami nearly out of chakra, while Konan helped Nagato escape and Obito and Zetsu fled after Kagami confronted them.
• Hyuga Kagami returned to devastated Konoha, reclaimed the Tenseigan power from Hyuga Rin, and learned that Orochimaru had taken Hinata and Naruto while Kakuzu had taken Neji and Sasuke.
• After Konoha held a funeral for its dead, Hyuga Kagami told Shisui and Itachi to wait for Akatsuki and Orochimaru to arrange a hostage exchange, where they could rescue the four children.

Hyuga Kagami balanced Akatsuki’s schemes and Danzo’s Chimera Technique while Naruto trained at Ryūchi Cave and formed a bond with Garaga. The stretch ended with Naruto advancing in Sage Mode as Danzo’s challenge to the Third Hokage stirred Konoha’s Anbu.

• Obito left Sasuke and Neji captive while Shinichi promised to protect Sasuke as best he could, and Hyuga Kagami arrived at Konoha as Flame Demon to settle the God Organization’s account with the Third Hokage.
• Hyuga Kagami warned the Third Hokage that Madara Uchiha might still be alive, collected payment for the God Organization, and refused Fugaku’s request to rescue Sasuke.
• Hyuga Kagami met Danzo and Orochimaru to advance the Chimera Technique, explained its risks, and helped Danzo select five additional Kekkei Genkai for his planned fusion.
• Obito recruited Hyuga Kagami and Itachi to spy on the God Organization, but Hyuga Kagami, Itachi, and Shisui agreed to feed Akatsuki selected information and prepare an ambush.
• Kabuto took Naruto and Hinata to Ryūchi Cave, where Naruto passed the White Snake Sage’s trial by befriending Garaga and then began learning Senjutsu.

Hyuga Kagami became Ninja Academy principal as Danzo took control of Konoha, while Kagami uncovered clues about the Hyuga Clan’s hidden past and defeated Uchiha challengers. As Naruto began at the Academy and Danzo’s suspicions grew, Kagami and Orochimaru prepared the Bloodline Fusion Ritual.

• Hyuga Kagami held his ground with Akatsuki’s White Zetsu liaison and secured a deal to have his student released, while Itachi began suspecting that the masked Akatsuki member was Obito Uchiha.
• Danzo staged Naruto and Hinata’s rescue from Orochimaru, then took control after the Jonin voted against the Third Hokage and Hiruzen’s likely successors refused to step forward.
• The Third Hokage appointed Hyuga Kagami principal of the Ninja Academy, with Shisui and Guy as senior instructors, and Kagami searched the Hyuga archives for clues about the clan’s decline and the Giant Tenseigan.

Hyuga Kagami pursued his experiments while Danzo prepared a ritual to fuse powerful bloodlines and awaken greater ocular power. Danzo and Kagami fought over the ritual’s Power of All Things, but Kakashi’s attack on the chakra array interrupted the process as Danzo neared the Rinnegan.

• Hyuga Kagami trapped Deidara in a genjutsu at the Temple of Fire and took a piece of his flesh, but Deidara’s clone later escaped and self-destructed against Akatsuki members.
• Hyuga Kagami upgraded his laboratory, tightened the Ninja Academy’s training rules, and monitored Danzo’s preparations for the Bloodline Fusion Ritual.
• Orochimaru transformed Danzo with First Hokage Cells and a White Zetsu arm, while Hyuga Kagami judged that Danzo would soon be ready for the ritual.
• Danzo began the ritual in a volcanic cavern using five captured Kekkei Genkai users and a chakra array powered by more than fifteen hundred Konoha shinobi.
• The Demon Buds consumed the captives, and Danzo’s body exploded when the souls within him overwhelmed his own, but Orochimaru’s hidden Curse Mark restarted the fusion.
• Danzo awakened the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and demanded more chakra, sacrificing the shinobi powering the array as Hyuga Kagami’s own eyes responded to Danzo’s power.

• Danzo’s winged Susanoo gained the advantage and his eyes neared the Rinnegan, but Kakashi attacked the chakra transmission array and abruptly stopped the power supply.
