Arc 12Jiraiya’s Execution
Shin used Jiraiya’s execution to lure Minato and the leaders of Amegakure into Konoha, where they launched an attack on the Sunlight Tower. Shin defeated and captured the attackers, took the Seven-Tails, and forced Yahiko to submit Amegakure, leaving his plans for the Shinobi World unresolved.
- Shin developed Konoha’s new district, arranged grain relief for the Land of Fire, and advanced plans to bring Rogue Ninja and mercenaries under Konoha’s authority.
- After Jiraiya was captured, Shin announced his execution, while Tsunade pleaded for his life and Minato joined Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan in planning a rescue.
- Nagato tested the Sunlight Tower’s power, then attacked it with summoned beasts as Jiraiya’s execution began and Minato moved to free him.
- Minato escaped with Jiraiya, but Konoha’s barrier prevented their flight, while Chomei attacked the village and Naruto encountered Minato.
- Shin restored Konoha’s barrier, subdued Nagato, captured Minato and Jiraiya, and used the Sunlight Tower to defeat Chomei while leaving its Jinchuriki alive.
- Shin extracted the Seven-Tails and made Amegakure’s submission the price of sparing Nagato and Jiraiya, prompting Yahiko to accept and question Shin’s vision of peace.
