Wooden Table Turns Into Gold

Dumbledore walked into the infirmary and shot a fierce glare at Horatio, who was pretending to be sick in bed. He then went to Harry's bedside, took his hands, and began to tell him what had happened after he fainted.

As Horatio listened to Dumbledore completely bamboozle Harry, he couldn't help but sigh at how much wiser the old ones were. If he hadn't been involved in the plan, he too would have been moved by the old bee's impassioned speech.

Dumbledore recounted the complex history between Harry's father and Snape, stating that while Snape hated him, he would never harm him.

Horatio was discharged from the hospital before Harry. After a few days of pretending to be sick, he was like a monkey out of a cage, joyfully running back to Hogwarts to frolic.

One day, Horatio was using the Philosopher's Stone to transform the Gryffindor wooden long table into a golden one when Daphne from Slytherin found him. Come to think of it, after Horatio had scared Daphne last time, she had basically avoided him in the common room.

"Classmate Horatio, Professor Snape wants you in his office," Daphne said to Horatio with a hint of fear in her voice.

Horatio waved his hand and said, "Got it."

With that, he slammed the Philosopher's Stone onto the Gryffindor long table. The previously worn table instantly became dazzlingly golden, eliciting gasps from the young wizards present.

Horatio looked at his masterpiece with satisfaction, then turned and noticed Daphne still standing there. He asked in confusion, "Is there something else?"

"Well, I just wanted to talk to you about something," Daphne replied.

Horatio refused, "I have nothing to talk about with you pure-blood purists. You go your way, and I'll go mine. If you don't bother me, I won't bother you."

"But..." Daphne was about to say something when Professor McGonagall's angry voice interrupted her.

"HORATIO!!! What did you do? You can't stand a day without causing trouble, can you?" Professor McGonagall rushed towards Horatio furiously.

"Haha, Professor McGonagall, I thought this table was too old, so I gave it a renovation. Don't thank me." Horatio turned and ran, "Professor Snape needs me for something, I'm leaving now."

"HORATIO!!!"

Professor McGonagall's roar echoed throughout the Great Hall. The young wizards gave Horatio a thumbs-up. Only Horatio could push the dignified and steady Professor McGonagall to such a state.

Horatio arrived at Snape's office door and knocked forcefully, saying, "Open up, I'm here to check your water meter."

There was no response from inside. Question marks appeared above Horatio's forehead. Was my C4 not powerful enough, or are you, Snape, getting too full of yourself?

Just as Horatio was about to stick C4 to the door, a beautiful woman opened it.

Horatio looked at the Stand User No. 2 he had made earlier. "I didn't expect you, Snape, you old pervert, to be into the 'keeping a mistress' kind of thing. Let me state clearly, for the safety of this book, I didn't install any of those functions on it."

Snape said with a cold face, "I didn't do anything to it. I just let it be my assistant."

"Oh, I get it." Horatio punched his left hand with his right. "I didn't expect you, with your respectable appearance, to be an LSP who's into that Japanese stuff."

Snape: "What stuff???"

Horatio: "You know, the boss, her subordinate, and her husband thing. Do you need me to make an alchemical puppet of James for you?"

Snape: "Do you think I'm that kind of person?" He then tossed a bag to Horatio.

Horatio opened the bag and saw it was full of potions. He disdainfully returned it to Snape. "You're testing an old cadre with this? Which old cadre can't withstand such a test?"

Snape's face instantly darkened, and he tossed another bag to Horatio.

Horatio opened it and saw it was full of various materials. "You're a good judge of character. Tell me, what kind of style do you need?"

"Nothing else is important, mainly it needs to be tough and able to withstand potions and curses."

"It's possible, but the materials must be forged by mixing Orichalcum and Mithril. It's difficult for me to do anything with just these materials."

After a round of bargaining, Horatio and Snape reached an agreement.

"If I mix the Life-Death Flower, Sword-shaped Grass, and Dragon Blood together and brew them, what will I get?" Snape suddenly asked.

"It depends on the ratio of those three ingredients. If there's more Life-Death Flower, it's a poison. If there's more Sword-shaped Grass, it's for treating osteoporosis. If there's more Dragon Blood, it's for nourishing and strengthening the body," Horatio answered without thinking.

Snape said in surprise, "It seems your head, which has been licked by a troll, isn't completely useless."

Horatio blushed. When his potion talent was 6, you called me stupid, and I didn't complain. Now that I've increased it to 11, you still dare to call me stupid? Then I'll have to give you a taste of your own medicine.

So Horatio asked in a reverse manner, "Then do you know what you'll get if you mix the Nine-leaved Paris Herb, Winter Solstice Cicada Molting, and Year-Old Snow together and brew them?"

Snape: "I've never even heard of these ingredients. You're not making them up, are you?"

"Hmph, two ounces of Nine-leaved Paris Herb, one mace of Winter Solstice Cicada Molting, simmered with Year-Old Snow, can cure the suffering of remembering those you know." Horatio said with a hidden meaning.

Snape fell silent. After a long time, he spoke, "I understand. I won't pursue the matter of you attacking me before. You can go back."

Horatio turned to leave. As he reached the door, Snape suddenly asked, "My dream was your doing, wasn't it? If you were faced with those two choices, what would you do?"

Horatio didn't turn back and said, "Everything difficult to choose in this world is because the person involved lacks ability. My choice is that I want it all, and I will do my best even if I end up bruised and battered."

Then Horatio walked out of the office, and a faint sigh could be heard from behind him.
