Background / History
The War God Palace’s prestige originated with its predecessors, who allegedly led other forces in suppressing the Demon Race roughly one hundred thousand years earlier. That victory gave the Palace a lasting hegemonic position and made it a sacred institution to many on the Tianwu Continent. The current generation inherited this reputation, resources, and authority rather than earning them itself. 1085
The Palace also established the City of Sin to exile criminals and suppress the Fiend Demon’s Head. Its War God Army has been used both against demons and monsters and to crush opposing sects and races. 1085 1195
Although its members invoke the title of “guardians of the Human Race,” its modern reputation has deteriorated because of repeated intimidation, slaughter, plunder, and broken promises. Other major factions later refuse to lend it Spirit Crystals because they fear the Palace may not repay its debts. 1098 1303 1335

Conflict with Jiang Chen
Demon God Tower Incident
The Palace entered the Demon God Tower through a secret-realm entrance that opened only because Jiang Chen had activated another entrance. The Saintess Wang Luoxue led the expedition, intending to investigate the tower and obtain the Red Heart Fire. 1085 1095
Jiang Chen openly fought the Palace’s members rather than yield opportunities to them. After the Demon God Tower was refined by Jiang Chen, Wang Luoxue identified it as a supreme treasure and ordered its seizure. 1099 1159
Wanted Order and Huang City
After Wang Luoxue’s defeat, the Palace issued a continent-wide wanted order against Jiang Chen and used Huang City’s City Lord’s Mansion as a temporary base. 1108 1125
Jiang Chen infiltrated Huang City, killed Palace guards, and publicly provoked the organization. He subsequently lured Palace experts into the Five Elements Divine Origin Array, which inflicted heavy losses on Wang Luoxue’s party before Gong Jie arrived with reinforcements. 1125 1130 1134 1135
Jiang Chen later captured Wang Luoxue and demanded a truce. Gong Jie initially agreed, but the Palace reneged after Wang Luoxue was released, solidifying Jiang Chen’s resolve to destroy the organization. 1161
Sabotage at Wind Cloud Manor
The Palace secretly interfered in a tribal competition at Wind Cloud Manor. Its agents damaged the projection arrays, threatened Deputy Manor Lord Hu De, and arranged for a Martial God Realm expert to enter the contest in an attempt to kill Jiang Chen without public attribution. 1182
War Against the Barbarian Race
Following its failed attempts on Jiang Chen, the Palace sent the War God Army to annihilate Jiang Chen and the Barbarian Race. Its forces located the Barbarian Race’s secret-realm entrance, but the defensive arrays killed thousands of soldiers and destroyed the Army’s Energy Cannons. 1194 1198
The Palace deployed Martial God Realm cultivators and formation masters to breach the defenses. The Barbarian Race’s God Slaying Spear formation killed thirteen attackers, including several formation masters. 1199
Jiang Chen diverted much of the War God Army into the Ancient Yin Mountain Range, while Long Xia attacked the remaining forces at the secret-realm entrance. Xiang Qi and other high-ranking Palace experts were killed, allowing the Barbarian Race to counterattack. 1201 1203 1204 1205
The campaign ended in a catastrophic Palace defeat. Most of its more than one hundred Martial God Realm participants were killed or routed, and news of the loss spread across the Tianwu Continent. 1206 1210
Continuing Pursuit
The Palace continued pursuing Jiang Chen in Tianwu City, posted wanted notices throughout the city, and attempted to acquire the Demon God Battle Armor at auction for use against him. Jiang Chen ultimately outbid it for the armor. 1260 1302 1304
Later, Jiang Chen trapped Palace forces and allied factions in another grand formation. He killed Vice Hall Master Yao Luo and other Vice Hall Masters while the formation and Barbarian Race forces eliminated the remaining attackers. 1330 1335
Wen Qiaofeng subsequently joined Dark Nether in using captured Dragon Gate members to force Jiang Chen into a confrontation with six Deity Transformation Realm experts. The operation failed to kill Jiang Chen, while the Palace lost two Deity Transformation Realm experts. 1358 1360 1363

Fall from Human Race Protector
After suffering repeated losses to Jiang Chen, the Palace and Dark Nether lose all of their experts who entered the Land of Divine Demise. Jiang Chen then massacres additional Palace members outside the realm. 1442 1448
When the Demon Race retaliates against them, the War God Palace abandons its claimed role as a Human Race guardian and surrenders. It becomes part of the Demon Race’s vanguard, participating in the capture of Human Race cities. 1448
