Three hours later, on the altar of the ancient ruins.

Cries of battle rang far into the distance. A Contractor leaped into the air and drove down the spiral spear in his hand, pinning a Zerg to the ground.

Boom!

Carapace fragments flew everywhere. Powerful kinetic energy erupted from the spiral spear's tip, blasting the enemy's body into pieces.

Shattered Zerg corpses lay everywhere, and green blood nearly covered the altar. Occasionally, the corpse of some enormous beast could be seen. The most eye-catching was a dead giant stag, with the corpses of three Contractors impaled on its antlers.

"Is it ready yet?!"

The Contractor wielding the spiral spear shouted. He and the eighty or so remaining Contractors had formed a defensive circle, covering a support-type Contractor as he set up a spatial array.

"A spatial array that can teleport several hundred people at once. Do you think that's simple?"

The support-type Contractor wiped the sweat from his brow with his sleeve. He had set up the array beforehand, but activating it alone would take nearly an hour. There were simply too many people to teleport. The slightest error could send them to some remote corner of the continent.

After embedding the last Void-Breaking Stone in the center of the array, the support-type Contractor sat down on the ground, utterly exhausted.

"It's ready. Hang in there. With the spatial power boost from the World Coordinate, the teleportation will be very fast."

"That's what you said—simple!"

A broad-shouldered, thick-waisted Contractor stood bare-chested, swinging two Zerg around like weapons, one in each hand, with terrifying force.

A spatial ripple spread outward. White light surged across the nearly hundred-meter-wide array, and in the next moment, six hundred Sun Warriors appeared within it.
