The Fame Rankings had finished settling. The subsequent war rankings clearly had nothing to do with Su Xiao. Although there was room for manipulation, the risks were simply too high.
If Su Xiao truly wanted a share, he could join forces with Guy, fool—cough, cooperate with—Morey, use their status to help her obtain huge amounts of war merit, seize first place, and split the profits afterward.
It looked appealing, but the risk was extremely high. Su Xiao and Guy had always followed one principle: avoid manipulating the Void Tree's or Paradise's rankings and World Stores whenever possible. The Tree World incident did not count; they had acted only because the special Overlord Unit Aidor was involved.
Regardless, Su Xiao was a Hunter and Guy was a Ruler. There were things they could not do. Occasionally manipulating a Faction Shop within a mission world, however, was no problem.
Although such Faction Shops were notarized by the Void Tree, they belonged to the local forces. To give a simple example, when they were on Sel Star, Su Xiao and Guy had joined forces to arrange the Faction Shop of the Kin faction.
That Faction Shop belonged to the Kin's defensive zone. If something truly went wrong, even if it was somewhat unreasonable, the Kin remained the main supervising party. The Void Tree's punishment would be limited to deducting reputation at most.
Su Xiao and Guy's Void Tree reputations could only be described as having seen through the mortal world and given up entirely.
From a certain perspective, Su Xiao's Void Tree reputation was beyond saving. Once, it had been fairly high. After Thorny La became his permanent summon, it had fallen far below average in less than ten days. By today, it was so negative that even consultation was impossible.
