On the vast ocean, every piece of land was precious. Giant Spirit Island, where the Sea Clan's main city stood, was surely the largest island in this world. It was so vast that it was still called an island only because of its unique structure.
The towering steel city walls were exceptionally magnificent. Weathered by time, the hundred-meter-high walls no longer felt cold.
The Sea Clan's main city actually consisted of two parts. One was the land above the surface, while beneath the gigantic island lay a section submerged in the sea, which was likewise an entire city.
The tranquility and prosperity of the past were gone. Looking down from above, one could see that the land around the Sea Clan's main city had melted. The seawater trapping the city had turned a gloomy violet, and countless skeletons of marine creatures floated on its surface. Their flesh had not been eaten; it had been corroded and dissolved by the highly toxic seawater.
Wisps of violet mist rose from the sea. The rational members of the Sea Clan still inside the main city had all gathered atop the walls, wearing various protective devices and staring at the enormous creature ahead in despair.
It was an ultimate alien beast with countless black tentacles. Each tentacle was a hundred meters thick and hundreds of thousands of meters long. At this scale, each black tentacle looked thin—of course, that was only relative to its body. At the creature's core was a huge eye, surrounded by many smaller auxiliary eyes.
