As the Floating Immortal Sword swept across the Barrier, it opened a gash. The dozens of layers covering its surface split apart at once.
Countless Dao Patterns peeled away from the Barrier and were absorbed by the Floating Immortal Sword. A powerful, scorching force surged from the sword into Fang Chen, jolting his mind awake.
Looking at the formidable Barrier before him, Fang Chen wondered why the World Will had not simply destroyed the sun if it wanted to kill this world's Cultivators and other living beings. Without the sun, countless lives would perish.
As Fang Chen saw it, the World Will was powerful enough to destroy the sun with ease. Yet it had not done so.
Fang Chen also knew how important this sun was to the lives of the Savage World.
He kept swinging the Floating Immortal Sword, cutting through the Barrier before him. He wanted to see whether he could reach the sun's core.
With the Floating Immortal Sword's help, Fang Chen soon broke through the sun's outermost Barrier.
Once Fang Chen broke through it, he discovered that the Solar Power beyond was even stronger than before.
As that Solar Power bore down on him, Fang Chen felt as though his body were about to burst into flames. The Floating Immortal Sword absorbed purer Solar Power, and the energy surging from it into his body grew both greater and more refined.
Fang Chen drove Star Imprint to its limit and began devouring the surrounding Solar Power.
