As he spoke, Fang Chen released his Spiritual Sense, hoping to scan the Giant Black Wings. But when his Spiritual Sense drew near, the Black Flame flickering across them blocked it.
"What powerful flames!"
Fang Chen was startled.
The Myna bird landed on Fang Chen's shoulder and asked, "Fang Chen, these wings are enormous. Can you handle them?"
The Myna bird knew that although the wings contained vast amounts of Source Power of Emperors and Immortal Spiritual Energy, drawing that energy out would be the real test.
Fang Chen stared at the huge wings. He knew they had been severed from a Half-Immortal-level Lifeform. Even after being sealed here for countless years, they still held surging vitality.
The body of a Half-Immortal powerhouse was unlike that of a Great Emperor powerhouse. The passage of time could scarcely wear away a Half-Immortal Body. Almost like an Immortal Body, it was undying and imperishable, difficult to destroy by ordinary means.
Still, Fang Chen knew that whoever had been strong enough to kill a Half-Immortal-level Lifeform could certainly have refined these wings. Yet that person had chosen to seal them here instead.
In the past, Fang Chen might not have understood why. Now he knew: the Heaven-Defying Ones must have severed these enormous wings and sealed them here to keep the Half-Immortal-level Lifeform's corpse from becoming a Heavenly Slave.
