The instant Fang Chen stepped into the Glazed Hall, the pressure around him surged. His body jolted, and he nearly fell to his knees.
"What crushing pressure!"
Fang Chen gritted his teeth and immediately circulated his True Qi, using every ounce of strength to stand. The pressure here was at least twenty times greater than at Dog Head Ridge. In this place, even if he stood perfectly still, his True Qi would not last half an incense stick.
Fang Chen looked ahead. Roughly thirty meters away stood a Barrier radiating blood-red light. Golden Runes flickered across its surface, giving off a mighty pressure. It swelled and contracted as though breathing.

His head felt ready to burst. Then the mysterious Golden Runes where the sword had struck flared with brilliant Golden Light. A tremendous force erupted from them and sent Fang Chen flying.
Fang Chen landed and staggered back several steps before coming to a stop.

He opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood. His head rang as though someone had struck it several times with a hammer. That strange vibration from the Barrier had been terrifying.
