The Truth (Part 1)

On the other side, six Kirigakure shinobi quietly slipped out through Konoha Village's gates.

They were several of the new generation's Ninja Sword Wielders from Kirigakure.

At that moment, nearly all of Konoha's shinobi had rushed to the front lines to fight, leaving the rear extremely undefended. That was why these children had slipped through the gates without anyone noticing or intervening.

Chojuro whispered to a young girl, "Yuri, do you think what we're doing is wrong? If Mizukage-sama finds out that we disobeyed the order, we'll definitely be punished severely!"

Mizukage-sama and the others had returned to Kirigakure ahead of them to organize the army and prepare for war. Before leaving, they had ordered the group to rest in Konoha before returning to the village on their own.

The adults had all left. Among the children who remained, the seven Ninja Sword Wielder successors held the highest positions, so the seven of them had taken charge and led the others back to the village.

Unfortunately, Yuri had refused to listen and insisted on taking people to the front lines to fight.

Before Yuri could say anything, Hozuki Suigetsu said impatiently, "Chojuro, if you're scared, take the others back to Kirigakure first."

"Besides, I'm worried that they might get bullied if they stay in Konoha!"

They believed they had some strength and could protect themselves, but the others could not.

Therefore, they had not dared bring along the other Kirigakure shinobi participating in the exams. They had temporarily left them in Konoha with the seriously injured successor of Samehada, waiting for their return.
