History

The Desolate Heaven Emperor created the Five Great Secret Realms cultivation system, a path capable of leading directly to the Immortal Emperor realm. Later cultivators, including Ying Hao, regard this system as the foundation of everything that followed 139 162.

During his battle with the Corpse Immortal Emperor, he was struck by the Great Luo Sword Embryo and shattered into billions of drops of essence blood across the River of Time. Each drop became a version of him in a different time and space; when one reaches the Immortal Emperor realm, the scattered blood can reunite into the true Desolate Heaven Emperor 140 167.

He eventually slew the Corpse Immortal Emperor, pacified the Darkness in the Sea of Worlds, and severed the ancient past with a single sword strike. He then marched through the path to Above the Heavens, leaving the shattered Immortal Realm and Sea of Worlds behind him 139 162.

In the River of Time, a young incarnation received the power of a future blood-drop incarnation and used the He Transforms into Great Freedom Great Law against Immortal King Anlan. Ying Hao witnessed the battle and recognized that the law’s source was the Desolate Heaven Emperor himself, not merely the blood 167.

By the time he and Ying Hao established contact across time and space, the Desolate Heaven Emperor was trapped while fighting Weird Ancestors.
