Background / History

The Heavenly Court discovered Ye Fan, an Earth-born genius with the Human Race Sacred Body, during an era when the changing rules of heaven and earth made Sacred Body cultivation increasingly difficult 116. After reaching Great Accomplishment, he visited Tanggu Valley and met Haotian the Great Emperor, Ying Hao, who gave him a divided drop of Ancestral Witch Essence Blood and placed him among eleven senior Great Accomplishment Sacred Bodies 116.

Ying Hao tasked Ye Fan with refining the essence blood and studying the simplified Twelve Divine Fiend Banners, calling the formation an essential part of the coming era 117. Ye Fan refined part of the blood within a century, attained an alternative Dao, and became the formation's primary figure 117 161.

After becoming a Mortal World Immortal, Ye Fan entered the Immortal Realm and later traveled through the Sea of Worlds with Wang Bo and others 161. His growth there carried him from Immortal King to peak Immortal King, after which Ying Hao taught him Heaven and Earth Manifestation and deliberately used battles to temper his mastery of it 182.
