Background

Li Xuan is a transmigrator who became stranded in a small mountain village. When Xu Yan mistook him for a hidden master and repeatedly sought apprenticeship, Li Xuan initially denied possessing any ability and feared being exposed. He eventually accepted Xu Yan only after receiving lavish gifts, including gold, Thousand-Year Ginseng, and Nine-Leaf Spirit Ganoderma. 1

Drawing on cultivation concepts he had invented while writing web novels in his previous life, Li Xuan improvised a path beginning with Blood Essence, Skin Tempering, Bone Refining, and Viscera Refining. He expected his fabricated teachings to fail and planned to flee the Qi Kingdom before Xu Yan could retaliate. 2 3 19

Xu Yan’s repeated breakthroughs instead made Li Xuan’s invented system real through the feedback of an unknown golden finger. Li Xuan gradually shifted from treating Xu Yan as a means of escape to building a genuine Martial Dao legacy, tailoring new paths for disciples with different talents. 51 57 100

At the Divine Intent Realm, Li Xuan finally perceived the source of his feedback: the Great Dao Golden Book, a golden book within his Spiritual Platform. It became the foundation of his continuing effort to create and refine Martial Dao systems. 209

Appearance

Li Xuan can appear entirely ordinary when he suppresses his presence, but his acquired mysterious aura makes observers perceive him as profound, unfathomable, and worthy of reverence. 51

  • Often sits or travels with a Jade Ruyi in hand. 99 484
  • Can conceal or release his mysterious aura at will. 51
  • His relaxed, seemingly unremarkable demeanor conceals power that even Old Man Xiao cannot gauge. 484 485

Personality

Li Xuan begins as deeply pragmatic and risk-averse. He fabricates cultivation methods to preserve his safety, plans escape routes in advance, and sometimes turns Xu Yan’s excitement into household labor under the guise of cultivation guidance. 3 18 19

He is highly adaptive in teaching. Rather than forcing every disciple onto Xu Yan’s orthodox path, he designs systems around their strengths: Body Cultivation Martial Dao for Meng Chong, Medicinal Dao for Su Lingxiu, and Qimen Martial Dao for Fang Hao. 57 100 253

Despite enjoying a leisurely life of tea, fishing, and study, Li Xuan is protective of those he accepts as disciples. He personally rescued Meng Chong from Xue Wuxin and later gave Mu Xiao an opportunity to reform rather than killing him. 75 535

Abilities & Skills

Hundred Martial Divine Shadows

Li Xuan can create divine shadows that guide cultivators and silently defend territory. 187 188

  • A divine shadow can help a novice sense Blood Essence through a single touch. 187
  • Their operating range is limited by Li Xuan’s own strength. 187
  • Each shadow possesses only Qi and Blood Realm strength, but can still kill a Grandmaster due to Li Xuan’s exceptional foundation. 188

Upon entering the Supernatural Ability Realm, Li Xuan condensed a Martial Dao Nascent Soul and awakened five major supernatural abilities. 282

  • Uses the Taicang Book to research how Martial Dao can employ Heaven and Earth Laws without becoming bound by them. 253
  • His study of the book supports the development of realms beyond the Supernatural Ability Realm. 243 385
  • Reached the seventeenth page of the eighteen-page book while refining his understanding of the Taicang World’s Dao Principles. 399
