Meanwhile, Dragon and Yaen stood atop the building across from the weapon shop, watching the image projected from the kendo room at nearly 360 degrees.
"Chief of Staff, that Marine sergeant named Tashigi looks strangely familiar to me. Why is that?" Dragon asked in confusion.
"Shimotsuki Village. Isshin Dojo." Yaen watched the image and spoke calmly.
Hearing this, Dragon suddenly realized. "I remember now. She was Mr. Koshiro's daughter from Isshin Dojo in Shimotsuki Village."
After a pause, Dragon sighed faintly.
"After Sabo was rescued by chance back then, he recuperated at Isshin Dojo for some time. Shimotsuki Village also served as the organization's grain transfer station for more than ten years. We received a great deal of help from Mr. Koshiro. I never expected that his beloved daughter would die unexpectedly when she was young. What a pity."
"Indeed. According to the rumors, Kuina's talent in swordsmanship was quite remarkable. Given enough time, she might well have become a Great Swordsman." Yaen nodded in agreement.
Dragon nodded as well, but his gaze lingered on Tashigi in the image as he asked, "Then what's the deal with this Sergeant Tashigi?"
"Perhaps it's nothing more than a pure coincidence. Or perhaps the answer lies in whether Mr. Koshiro was a reckless young man in his youth." Yaen replied.
"Uh..."
Dragon recalled Koshiro, with his small glasses and perpetually gentle, kindly smile. It was truly difficult to imagine him behaving recklessly in his younger days.
In a sense, Dragon inexplicably felt that Yaen and Koshiro shared a similar air and bearing. Men like that always made others feel instinctively reassured. No matter how he thought about it, Yaen didn't seem like the type to...
Hiss...
Suddenly, Dragon gave Yaen an odd look as he recalled Yaen's various indiscretions.
"It really isn't impossible."
