"Kid, you'd better think this through. If you fight me and fail, it won't just be a matter of whether you can survive in this universe. Even as a ghost, you won't have it easy. Maybe in your next life, you won't even be a higher life-form."
"Next life? Grand Kai, you must be joking. Ever since I was in my mother's womb, I never planned on going back! Death is a distant thing to me. Perhaps you, Grand Kai, can only live to thirty thousand years, but maybe I'll live even longer than you?"
Grand Kai froze for a moment, carefully studying Uchiha Hiko for a long time.
Actually, Uchiha Hiko had felt a little guilty when he said that. So far, his lifespan did not even seem to have reached ten thousand years, while the other man's was truly three times his. How could he not feel a little uneasy?
But while he lacked confidence inwardly, his strength was not lacking at all.
Grand Kai, however, was analyzing Uchiha Hiko's race. When they had first met, he had sensed that Uchiha Hiko was indeed human. Yet now, as he looked at Uchiha Hiko, he could occasionally sense an aura drifting from him.
"Kid, you don't seem human. What race of the universe do you belong to? I've never seen anyone who has only been exposed to ki for a few decades yet cultivated to your level. Fragile at birth, yet as they age, they can even grow strong enough to make our Kai Race feel threatened."
Uchiha Hiko froze. What race?
He wanted to know that himself, but it was difficult to say. He was originally human, yet his bloodline had continuously mythologized humanity and elevated it into something else.
An immortal?
A demon?
A god?
Or something
