His gaze swept down the map, examining and comparing each area piece by piece.
The southern grasslands were not complicated terrain, so Luo Zheng skipped them directly and focused on comparing the map's four corners.
After roughly the time it took to burn a stick of incense, Luo Zheng had finished comparing the map. His formerly relaxed brows had drawn tightly together. His target was nowhere on this map.
Chief Lei Qiao noticed the expression on Luo Zheng's face and asked, "Have you failed to find it?"
This map only recorded the southern region of the Fourteenth Heaven. It was normal not to find it here. Luo Zheng nodded. Since he could not find it here, he could only search elsewhere.
Just as Luo Zheng was about to take his leave, Feng Ge, perched on his shoulder, suddenly said, "Wait, Luo Zheng. Look at the far right of the map."
The difference in size between Feng Ge and Luo Zheng was simply too great, and her voice was no louder than the buzzing of a mosquito. Realizing that Luo Zheng could not hear her clearly, Feng Ge gathered her strength and repeated herself loudly.
Luo Zheng heard Feng Ge's voice and turned his gaze toward the left side of the map.
At the far left of the map, the grasslands came to an abrupt halt, replaced by another stretch of desert. Perhaps because it was desert, the map carved into the wooden board was not especially accurate. The engraving was blurry, with some parts vague and difficult to make out.
Even so, where the grasslands met the desert, the outlines formed a gourd shape—and not just any gourd, but one with three bulges.
"Look at the left side of the map on your palm again. Is there a wave there?"
