"Nothing major. It's basically the same as before. After all those wars, every village has been working hard to restore its strength. If I had to be strict about it, then I'd say Kirigakure."
"Something happened to Kirigakure?"
Ronglin was surprised. It seemed Akatsuki's appetite had not been that great after all. Something like this was bound to be discovered sooner or later, and once it was, Akatsuki would become a public enemy.

Tsunade nodded. "Akatsuki tried to get its hands on the entire Land of Water and Kirigakure. Although they managed to build up quite a sizable force, they ultimately failed.
Even the Four Great Ninja Villages took part in the conflict against Akatsuki. Akatsuki was eventually driven away, but Kirigakure paid an enormous price because of it. It's still recovering, and the village's strength has declined considerably."
