Background / History

Tsunade was assigned by the Third Hokage to guide Uchiha Ronglin, partly to protect him amid the political pressure surrounding the Uchiha, Hyuga, and Senju clans. Though reluctant to accept the assignment, she became the instructor of Ronglin, Harusame Yu, and Shimura Ou, establishing Tsunade Class after they passed her test. 16 17 22
