Unfortunately, most of those people had ended up as little snacks for the Nine-Tails. The Nine-Tails was not something just anyone could provoke.
Questioning—Could Katsuyu Be Guilty Too?
"There will always be some things in this world that don't know their own limits."
Ronglin smiled faintly, floated up, and landed atop the Nine-Tails' head. Its fur instantly stood on end.
It sensed an immense threat radiating from Ronglin. Though it was not directed at it, instinct still made the Nine-Tails' body tense.
Noticing the Nine-Tails' nervousness, Ronglin smiled, crouched down, and placed a hand on it. "Don't be nervous. I won't hurt you, but I need to extract a little Chakra from your body. It might be a bit uncomfortable, but I only need a tiny amount. Bear with it."
Ronglin naturally had no intention of doing anything harmful to the Nine-Tails. He merely wanted to extract a little of its Chakra.
"Yes, my lord."
The Nine-Tails forced itself to calm down and obediently remained still.
"I'm starting."
Ronglin gave it a smiling warning and pressed his palm against the Nine-Tails' body.
Very quickly, a strand of Chakra was forcibly pulled from the Nine-Tails' body by Ronglin. The amount was not much.
Even so, the Nine-Tails' body unknowingly tensed up, and it felt extremely uncomfortable.
The Tailed Beasts themselves were condensed from incomparably immense quantities of Chakra. Extracting Chakra like this—pulling it out alive—was equivalent to cutting flesh from the Nine-Tails. This was not a willing gift from the Nine-Tails, but a forceful extraction.
"All done."
Fortunately, Ronglin knew his limits and would not truly harm the Nine-Tails. He had said he only needed a little, and he had taken only a little.
A ball of red Chakra continuously writhed in Ronglin's palm, yet it could not escape his control.
