"The witness was... Watch out!" Ronglin had been about to tell Jinbe who the witness was when he suddenly saw Hyozou, held in Jinbe's hand, abruptly make his move. Raising his sword, he thrust it straight at Jinbe's throat.
"Fish-Man Karate!"
Just as the blade's gleam was about to pierce Jinbe, Jinbe rotated his palms and shoved Hyozou away. The blade was immediately knocked off course along with Hyozou and failed to hit Jinbe.
"Hah!" After Jinbe evaded the fatal strike, he flung his hands over his shoulders, sending Hyozou flying. Then Torrential Spiral shot out a column of water, erupting with powerful force that struck Hyozou directly in midair!
"Pfft!" Hyozou spat out a mouthful of blood in midair, while countless tiny wounds all over his body began spurting blood. Jinbe's fierce blow had shriveled Hyozou's entire body.
"Hmph!" Jinbe withdrew his palms and watched as Hyozou was knocked unconscious once more, falling limply onto the distant shore. He snorted coldly.
Ronglin's heart skipped a beat. After steadying himself, he asked, "Why did he want to kill you?"
"If this is true, then once I intervene, I could dismantle their scheme in no time. From then on, they would have no place left on Fish-Man Island." Jinbe had never expected Hyozou to launch a sneak attack against him. By now, he had gained some trust in Ronglin.
"It's useless." Ronglin shook his head. "For years, they've been capturing human pirates who come to Fish-Man Island and recruiting them into their ranks. Once the time is right, they'll launch an attack and occupy all of Fish-Man Island. You can't guard against them forever."
At the grand plaza several years later, Hody Jones would lead a hundred thousand pirates in rebellion. Ronglin used the general course of history as his own
