"Boss! Boss!" Jazz called excitedly from above as he ran over. The moment he arrived, he leaped into Ronglin's arms. "Boss! We missed you so much!"
"I missed you too!" Ronglin smiled and stroked Jazz's head. Looking at Jinbe, who nodded to him from the bow, and Caesar, who emerged from the cabin with a cold stare, his heart felt incomparably warm.
Everyone on this ship was a companion Ronglin had chosen after coming to this world. Though each of them had their flaws, they still gave Ronglin some sense of belonging.
"Have you all been well?" Ronglin took Jazz's hand and walked over. He noticed that Jazz's skin had grown much darker and his body sturdier. It seemed that going out to sea had been quite beneficial for his training.
"Tch! How well could these idiots possibly be doing?" Caesar rolled his eyes disdainfully. "A few days ago, they got into a fight. If this genius hadn't covered for him, he would've been killed by 577 people long ago."
Ronglin glanced at Jazz in confusion. Jazz lowered his head somewhat sheepishly. "Evil Scientist was amazing. If he hadn't saved me, those pirates would've chopped me to death."
"Who are you calling evil?" Caesar was deeply dissatisfied that Jazz still called him that.
"What happened?" Ronglin looked seriously at Jazz. When his hand touched Jazz's shoulder, Jazz revealed a pained expression. Ronglin pressed lightly with his fingers. It was soft.
"Bandages? You're injured?" Ronglin's expression shifted from serious to stern as he turned toward Caesar. "How did you take care of him? You actually let him get hurt?"
Jazz was startled by Ronglin and hurriedly explained for Caesar. "Boss, it wasn't their fault. A few days ago, we were surrounded and attacked. I was the one who wanted to join
